Wafer Fab Ops Supervisor, Front End Nights (Sun-Tue, Alt Sat)

About this role

You will lead a n   operations team at   Wolfspeed’s   state of the art , highly automated, Mohawk Valley Wafer Fab in New York. The Production Manager oversees each aspect of the production process; trains and supports staff and provides vital information on production goals. Your leadership will set the tone for the team’s success. Finally, Safety for your team and product   are   a vital responsibility.  

This manager will hold responsibility for a   12-hour   shift working from   6   to 6:15.  

The Day-to-Day:  

• Maintain a safe working environment for all employees  

• Maintain leadership presence by spending at least 80% of your time interacting on the   fab   floor  

• Monitor team and individual performance. Evaluate and improve productivity, equipment   utilization   and overall efficiency    

• Support 5S activities across the entire   fab  

• Establish and communicate production priorities .    Track performance and adjust priorities accordingly  

• Initiate, encourage, and drive continuous improvement efforts  

• Provide   team   with constructive and   timely   feedback. Enforce company and local policies and procedures.   

• Maintain positive working relationships with all levels in the organization.   

This Job is Right for You if You Have (Minimum Requirements):  

• Associate degree   or higher in related field  

• Manufacturing experience with   1-2 + years in a leadership role,   preferred   manufacturing experience as a front-line supervisor (3-5 years) or relevant military experience   

• Passion to inspire and develop employees while working in a dynamic, fast-paced semiconductor manufacturing environment.  

• Ability to handle change quickly and efficiently – Fast paced work environment   

The posted salary range is what Wolfspeed reasonably expects to pay for this position. Actual pay for a hired applicant will be determined based on the individual’s job-relevant qualifications, experience, and other determinative factors. In the event it is determined that a different job level upon hire is warranted then that range will be communicated to the hired applicant as soon as reasonably practicable.

Compensation Range:
