Position Type Administrator Position Summary
Dallas College seeks a visionary, collaborative and forward-thinking academic leader to serve as Vice Provost of the School of Creative Arts, Entertainment and Design. Reporting to the Provost & Chief Academic Officer, the Vice Provost will provide strategic leadership for academic quality, student success, faculty and academic manager development, program effectiveness, resource stewardship and partnerships with employers and community organizations.

The School’s work brings together classroom learning, creative practice, experiential opportunities and external partnerships. Dallas College has highlighted CAED-related experiences such as Design Week, the Future of Fashion Showcase and collaboration with Universidad Creativa in Costa Rica through fashion, exchange-program development and Collaborative Online International Learning.
The Vice Provost will provide leadership for the planning, implementation and evaluation of programs within the School ; advocate for students, faculty, instructors, local business and industry; advise the Provost on professional and technical education; and actively engage community and employer partners to create new partnerships, responsive programs and revenue opportunities.
The School of Creative Arts, Entertainment and Design (CAED) prepares students for careers across the creative economy through programs in the arts, design, entertainment, media, and related disciplines. Serving approximately 45,000 students and supported by over 250 full-time faculty, CAED combines academic excellence with industry-relevant learning experiences that help students develop the creative, technical, and professional skills needed for success.
The school also includes English, Communications, and World Languages, disciplines that are central to the college's academic mission and student success agenda. These programs deliver many of the gateway and general education courses that students encounter early in their academic journey, helping build the communication, critical-thinking, cultural competency, and language skills that underpin achievement across virtually every field of study.
The Vice Provost for Creative Arts, Entertainment and Design provides strategic leadership for one of Dallas College's largest and most dynamic academic schools. This role helps ensure that academic programs remain responsive to student needs, industry trends, workforce demands, and emerging opportunities within the creative and entertainment sectors.
The successful candidate will understand the distinct needs of creative and career-connected programs and will be able to build a shared vision across disciplines and locations. The leader will strengthen academic pathways, support relevant curriculum and instruction, expand experiential learning and employment pipelines, and advocate for students, faculty and staff across Dallas College and in the broader community.

CAED plays an important role in advancing Dallas College's mission by creating pathways that connect students to high-demand and culturally impactful careers while supporting the region's creative economy in one of the most vibrant creative arts centers in the world.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee faculty and academic managers, with direct responsibility for academic excellence initiatives, including curriculum strategy, student learning outcomes and assessment, tutoring and supplemental academic support, instruction, and faculty professional development.
• Develop and maintain student pathways and degree maps within the School , ensuring students can access the courses and programs needed to reach economic security and success.
• Oversee School programs and faculty, administrators and staff across geographic locations, ensuring consistency of offerings and a seamless student experience.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external organizations to build capacity for experiential learning and employment pipelines for completers.
• Coordinate with Academic Services to provide students access to tailored academic resources, including library and tutoring support.
