About this role
We're seeking someone to join our team as a Vice President, Sanctions Screening Governance & Reporting Lead in Global Financial Crimes to lead program governance, central program management office (PMO), reporting, associated activities that strengthen the Firm's sanctions screening control framework and support regulatory, audit, and senior management oversight.
In the Legal & Compliance division, we assist the Firm in achieving its business objectives by facilitating and overseeing the Firm's management of legal, regulatory and franchise risk. This is a Vice President level position within the Global Financial Crimes Sanctions Screening Controls team, which is responsible for the design, implementation, and governance of sanctions screening controls across reference data and transaction activity.

What you'll do in the role: • Lead the central PMO for the sanctions screening program, including initiative intake, prioritization, milestone tracking, RAID management, and status reporting to senior management • Maintain the screening Book of Work and coordinate delivery across Compliance, Financial Crimes Technology, Operations, and other stakeholders to manage timelines, dependencies, and escalation items • Oversee governance frameworks, forums, and artifacts, including charters, decision rights, agendas, meeting materials, minutes, and action item tracking • Serve as the central coordination point for regulatory examinations and Internal Audit engagements related to sanctions screening, including exam readiness, evidence production, gap assessments, and issue remediation tracking • Manage the lifecycle of sanctions screening policies, procedures, and standards, including drafting, approvals, version control, publication, and ongoing maintenance • Support screening-related committee and Firmwide financial crimes reporting requirements, ensuring materials are accurate, timely, and aligned to governance standards
What you'll bring to the role: • 8+ years of experience in sanctions compliance, AML, financial crimes risk, governance, or control functions within a regulated financial institution • Demonstrated experience leading governance, PMO, or program coordination activities, including cross-functional delivery tracking and escalation management • Strong knowledge of sanctions regulations and screening program requirements, including control governance and regulatory expectations • Experience supporting regulatory examinations and internal audit engagements, including evidence coordination, issue management, and remediation tracking • Proven ability to design and deliver management information, dashboards, metrics, and executive-ready reporting materials • Experience drafting and maintaining policies, procedures, standards, or other governance documentation in a compliance or risk environment • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear materials for governance, audit, regulatory, and senior management audiences
