YOU As the Vice President – North America Finance, you will serve as a strategic financial partner to the EVP of North America and the broader North America leadership team. In this role, you will help shape and communicate business strategy by evaluating strategic investments, advising on operational footprint decisions, identifying P&L risks and opportunities, and translating financial insights into clear, actionable recommendations for leaders across Operations, Sales, Manufacturing, and Division Finance. You will play a critical role in strengthening financial acumen across the business, aligning cross-functional teams around priorities, and driving consistent, streamlined systems and processes that support scalable growth and operational excellence.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING Serve as a strategic financial partner to North America leadership by evaluating investments related to the operations footprint, capacity, network optimization, and long-term growth priorities. Provide clear financial recommendations grounded in cash flow, margin, return on investment, capital allocation, and enterprise value creation. (20%)
Drive alignment, standardization, and continuous improvement across North America Finance by coordinating with Division Finance teams to streamline systems, reporting, processes, and key financial workflows. Champion scalable solutions that improve decision quality, operational visibility, and execution consistency across locations and cost centers. (15%)
Partner with the EVP North America, Sales leadership, Manufacturing leadership, and functional executives to develop and communicate business strategy, operational priorities, key financial measures, KPIs, forecasts, and performance expectations. Translate complex financial information into practical insights that enable informed decision-making across the business. (15%)
Evaluate P&L impacts, risks, and opportunities related to strategic initiatives, product line expansions, contract negotiations, and national customer agreements. Advise business leaders on financial trade-offs, pricing considerations, investment assumptions, and potential impacts to margin, working capital, and long-term profitability. (10%)
Lead financial acumen training for various levels of the organization, helping leaders understand the financial drivers of the business, interpret operating performance, evaluate investment decisions, and make better-informed decisions that support profitable growth. (10%)
Lead North America operations costing activities and provide leadership, direction, and support to regional factory finance teams. Establish consistent costing practices, strengthen cost governance, improve visibility into manufacturing performance, and ensure factory finance teams provide timely, accurate, and actionable insights that support operational decision-making and continuous improvement. (10%)
Partner with Digital on finance and operations system transformation initiatives that deliver measurable business impact, efficiency improvements, enhanced cost transparency, and stronger decision-support capabilities across North America. Help define business requirements, prioritize high-value opportunities, and ensure system enhancements support scalable processes and meaningful operational insights. (10%)
Lead, motivate and direct employees using effective performance management techniques, including establishing expectations and goals, providing recognition and feedback, and addressing performance problems. Coach, encourage, and develop employees according to their unique interests and strengths. Empower employees to take responsibility for their career and performance. Delegate responsibility and expect accountability and regular feedback. Foster a spirit of teamwork and unity among department members and the organization. (5%)
Prepare and present strategic financial updates, investment analyses, risk and opportunity assessments, and operational performance insights for the North America Leadership Team, Sales leadership teams, and selective Board of Director meetings. (5%)
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE If you can do everything listed above, you’ve got what it takes. The ideal candidate will bring a strong record of proven results in strategic finance leadership, cross-functional influence, operational decision support, and enterprise-level execution. The following experience and capabilities would be helpful too: • Bachelor of Science or Arts Degree or equivalent experience required • Proven track record of serving as a strategic finance partner to senior leadership, with demonstrated ability to influence business strategy, translate financial insights into action, and drive alignment across Operations, Sales, Manufacturing, and Division Finance teams. • Demonstrated success evaluating strategic investments, capital projects, footprint decisions, capacity needs, and operational initiatives using sound financial analysis, ROI, cash flow, margin impact, and long-term enterprise value considerations. • Proven ability to evaluate P&L risks and opportunities, assess financial trade-offs, and advise leaders on product line expansions, contract negotiations, pricing considerations, and national customer agreements. • Experience developing and delivering financial acumen training or business education for leaders at multiple levels of the
