Stone House Animal Hospital is actively looking for a Veterinary Assistant to join our amazing team. The ideal candidate should be confident in proper animal handling and restraint, able to collect samples, clean cages, walk dogs, understand the importance of a clean and organized animal clinic, work well with the technicians and veterinarian, communicate with our clients, have knowledge of some industry tools and equipment used daily, have the motivation to want to learn new skills and advance in the veterinary industry and be a positive and supportive team player. Excellent communication and organizational skills are a must. The veterinary industry is constantly advancing and growing, and Stone House Animal Hospital encourages its staff to do the same. If you are a veterinary assistant looking to take your skills to the next level, engage in the everyday reward of helping animals, and work with a great team, we cannot wait to hear from you. 

We need a reliable vet assistant. Responsibilities include but are not limited to, assisting with the care of pets and hospitalized patients, medicating, cleaning, preparation of lab samples, and possible surgeries. Good computer and phone skills are necessary. Experience preferred but not required. Weekday and Saturday shifts are required . Pay commensurate with experience.

• Assisting clients, techs, Doctors, and patients  

• Willing to cross-train for front desk responsibilities  

• Knowledge of industry tools and equipment  

• Experience with proper animal handling and restraint  

• Positive team player willing to continue to learn  

• Excellent communication and organizational skills  

• Able to handle a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of care
