At Medtronic Peripheral Vascular, you'll support cutting-edge therapies that help treat peripheral arterial and venous disease, carotid disease, and arteriovenous access conditions. Working alongside physicians and healthcare teams, you'll provide clinical expertise, support complex procedures, and help expand access to innovative therapies that improve patient lives every day.                       The Prin. Vascular Clinical Specialist role will provide detailed technical support for vascular products and procedures to a wide range of clinical   professionals . This individual will support sales representatives with coverage for critical cases, primarily focused on cases with physicians that require technical support on the safe and effective use of our products.   

Vascular Clinical Specialists must be able to work and/or travel outside of standard business hours to support occasional urgent patient cases, complex procedures, and customer needs, including limited evening and weekend coverage . Candidates must  reside  within the assigned territory and be able to travel to multiple customer accounts throughout the region up to 50% of the time. A valid driver's license, active insurance, and a driving record that meets company standards are  required .

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:    

• Provide  expert clinical, technical, and product support for Medtronic’s vascular portfolio, partnering with physicians and care teams to improve patient outcomes across peripheral arterial, venous, embolization, carotid, and fistula therapies.    

• Educate  customers through one-on-one training, in-service programs, case support, and conference participation to drive therapy adoption and product  proficiency .    

• Collaborate  with sales representatives, managers, and cross-functional partners to execute district business plans, support revenue growth, and achieve strategic  objectives .    

• Deliver  responsive technical and procedural support, including flexibility to  assist  with urgent customer needs and complex cases on short notice.    

• Build  and strengthen long-term relationships with physicians, administrators, clinicians, and key decision-makers to expand customer engagement and therapy  utilization .    

• Identify  customer needs, address objections, and communicate market feedback and product insights to help shape sales strategies and customer solutions.    

• Manage  inventory performance across customer accounts by conducting audits, resolving discrepancies, supporting consignment agreements, and  optimizing  product availability.    

• Coordinate  product launches, inventory transitions, and field initiatives to maximize inventory efficiency and align with customer segmentation, contract strategies, and growth opportunities.    

• Support  critical operational activities, including inventory management, purchase order collection, training initiatives, and other business processes that enable customer success and commercial performance.   

• Perform  physical job requirements, including frequent two-handed lifting of up to  40 lbs. , sitting, standing, and walking for  8+ hours per day , and regularly bending, stooping, squatting, and  maintaining  balance.    

• Work  effectively in clinical environments with exposure to eye protection, infectious disease, and radiation, while wearing  7-9 lbs.  of lead for extended periods,  utilizing  computers and mobile devices, and  maintaining  the vision capabilities necessary to support patient care and field-based responsibilities.    

• Performs   other duties as assigned  

Required Qualifications  

• High School Diploma PLUS a minimum  11  years  OR  associate's degree  PLUS a minimum  9  years  OR  Bachelor’s Degree PLUS a minimum  7  years of work experience in healthcare, field sales, or work experience  utilizing  complex mathematics, mechanical concepts,  science  or computing      

Preferred Qualifications  

• Thorough working knowledge of medical terminology, medical  procedures  and the medical device industry    

• Strong project management skills and experience coordinating programs    

• Ability to coordinate/ participate  in  numerous  tasks/projects in a fast-paced environment in an organized manner while meeting deadlines    

For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.
