Shirley Contracting Company, LLC is looking for Vacuum Truck Drivers to join our team. Qualifications: • Class B CDL

• Tanker endorsement required

• HAZMAT endorsement preferred

• Clean Driving Record (No major traffic violations, tickets or accidents for the last 7 years.)

• Must pass pre-employment DOT physical/drug screening

• Ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted on a regular basis

• Ability to pass background checks for secure facility access

Responsibilities: • Knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT) rules, regulations, and guidelines.

• Complete daily pre- and post-trip inspection and maintain inspection reports.

• Maintain daily mileage logs and work tickets.

• Use specialized equipment to jet and vacuum storm, sanitary, water lines and conduits.

• Hydro excavation by using a nozzle attached to a high-pressure water gun or lance to soft dig into the ground.

• Safely operate commercial vehicle while driving and maneuvering in a variety of situations, such as heavy traffic, construction sites, and tight areas within various regions of Virginia.

• Maintain assigned vehicle(s) to a high standard of cleanliness.

• Ensure the company’s health and safety culture, policies and requirements are met.

• Establish and maintain a positive working relationship with co-workers.

Job Type: Full-Time, Year-Round

Location: Various Jobsites

Working Hours: Start time is 6:30 AM. Overtime, nights and weekends may be required.

Applicants must be 18 years of age and currently authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis in order to be considered.

For this role the base hourly range is $25.00-$35.00 per hour. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location. Base pay is one part of the Total Compensation Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work.
