Whether a customer needs to complement an in-house unclaimed property team or outsource all of their unclaimed property responsibilities, we apply the appropriate level of services for each of our customer.

Join Kodiak Solutions as an Unclaimed Property Consulting Associate, where you will work on customer engagements related to multi-state unclaimed property matters.

Responsibilities for current role include, but are not limited to:

• Support customer engagements related to multi-state unclaimed property audit defense, voluntary disclosure agreements (VDAs), and other consulting projects.

• Assist in gathering, organizing, and analyzing customer records and data to identify potential unclaimed property exposure and reporting requirements.

• Prepare schedules, reconciliations, workpapers, and supporting documentation for customer deliverables and state submissions.

• Participate in customer meetings and auditor discussions while assisting with responses to information document requests.

• Research unclaimed property laws, regulations, and reporting requirements across various states.

• Maintain accurate project documentation and communicate project status updates to team members and engagement leaders.

• Work collaboratively with peers and senior team members to meet customer deadlines and deliver high-quality work product.

• Identify opportunities for process improvements and assist in implementing efficiencies through technology and standardized procedures.

• Develop an understanding of unclaimed property concepts, industry trends, and legislative developments affecting customer engagements.

• Contribute to a positive and inclusive team environment through collaboration, continuous learning, and professional development.

Qualifications:

• 0–3 years of relevant professional experience in accounting, finance, consulting, compliance, audit, or a related field.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Demonstrated attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate work.

• Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team environment.

• Willingness to learn complex unclaimed property concepts and consulting methodologies.

• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and customer needs while maintaining productivity and quality.

• Experience working with large data sets is a plus.

• BA/BS degree in accounting, business administration, finance, information systems, economics, engineering, or a related field.
