The Transitions & RFP Services Manager oversees the coordination, execution, and continuous improvement of client onboarding, investment vehicle implementation, investment adviser transitions, and Request for Proposal (RFP) activities supporting the Empower Retirement business. This role serves as the primary liaison for internal stakeholders, coordinating cross-functional initiatives, managing relationships with external service providers, and driving operational excellence through standardized processes, effective controls, and continuous improvement initiatives. As the role evolves, this position also assumes ownership of client marketing materials and client presentation development.
What You Will Do • Serve as the primary point of contact for Empower Retirement RFP requests from internal business partners.
• Develop, maintain, and continuously improve a centralized library of standardized RFP responses, supporting documentation, and source materials.
• Coordinate annual reviews of RFP content with cross-functional Empower Retirement teams to ensure responses remain accurate, current, and compliant.
• Lead the operational onboarding of new clients, investment vehicles, and investment advisers.
• Coordinate onboarding activities with internal departments and external service providers, including custodians, transfer agents, and other vendors.
• Manage operational aspects of client transitions, sub-advisor changes and additions, portfolio rebalancing activities, and related implementation efforts.
• Build and maintain productive working relationships with custodians, sub-advisors, transition managers, and other external business partners.
• Review, reconcile, and approve invoices from custodian banks while administering banking systems, user access, and approval workflows, as applicable.
• Develop, document, and enhance operational procedures, internal controls, and standardized workflows to improve efficiency, scalability, and operational risk management.
• Lead process improvement initiatives supporting business growth, regulatory changes, operational effectiveness, and business process enhancements.
• Transition newly onboarded clients and investment vehicles to ongoing operational support teams following successful implementation.
• Manage the production, validation, and quality review of client marketing materials utilizing departmental data.
• Coordinate and serve as a primary contributor to client presentations and presentation materials.
• Monitor industry developments, regulatory guidance, and operational best practices and communicate recommendations to management.
• Mentor and develop team members to improve operational effectiveness, efficiency, and professional growth.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
What You Will Bring • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (Accounting preferred), or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• More than six (6) years of securities operations, investment operations, accounting, or investment administration experience within the financial services industry.
• Candidates without a qualifying degree must possess an additional two (2) to four (4) years of directly related experience.
• Experience managing client onboarding, investment implementation, operational transitions, or investment operations.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional initiatives involving multiple internal stakeholders and external service providers.
• Strong knowledge of securities operations, investment administration, and financial services operations.
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Intermediate Microsoft Access or SQL query skills.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
• FINRA Fingerprinting required.

• Knowledge of investment adviser onboarding and investment vehicle implementation.
