About this role
Pay : $21-$24.50 hourly based on skillset Hours: Tuesday through Saturday from 7:00am to 3:30pm Training shift Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 3:30pm. Training typically takes a few months before moving to standard shift.
RESPONSIBILITIES: • Build a variety of tools, engineering changes, molds, templates, fixtures and jigs. • Set-up, adjusts and operates all types of machine shop equipment. Select and lay out materials. • Draw sketches and calculate dimensions as required. • Repair or modify existing tools. • Calculate shrink rate dimensions for different plastics. • Team player with the ability to work on miniature, close-tolerance parts and fixtures with minimum supervision. • Train mold technicians to increase their knowledge and skills in the areas of troubleshooting and mold repair techniques.
REQUIREMENTS: • High school or equivalent preferred. • Demonstrate acceptable layout Tig welding skills and quality. • Able to communicate effectively over the phone and with small groups of people. • Demonstrate basic computer skills. • Have appropriate reading, clerical, and basic mathematical skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: • 1+ yrs. tool & die manufacturing experience • Related vocational certificate or associates degree • CNC programming with milling and EDM machine experience • Able to read blue prints and reverse design parts and pieces from molds and equipment
