As a U-Haul Tire Mounting & Dismounting Technician, you will use U-Haul Company’s proprietary technology to assess and care for field vehicles. U-Haul will provide the support and tools you need to succeed and grow, so if you want a job with endless opportunities for career growth, apply today!
Tire Mounting & Dismounting Technician Primary Responsibilities: • Mount, dismount, and balance tires on trucks, trailers, and fleet equipment. • Inspect tires and wheels for wear, damage, and safety concerns. • Perform tire repairs and maintain proper tire pressures. • Operate tire service equipment safely and efficiently. • Help keep our fleet road-ready while maintaining a clean and safe work area. • Team Members are expected to willingly lend assistance in additional areas as necessary, following the directives and guidance of their supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude. • Mechanical aptitude or tire service experience. • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and work in a shop environment. • Basic mechanical aptitude and 1-2 years of repair experience preferred • Driver’s license • The ability to work as part of a team as well as individually • Basic computer skills • Regular attendance
Work Environment: The work involves manual labor and the ability to work safely and to be always alert. You may need to use protective clothing or gear like masks, safety shoes, goggles, gloves, or face shields.
