Tester (Splice) - 1st Shift

This position reports to: Supervisor (Production) __ In this role, you will have the opportunity to assist the Quality team in implementing and maintaining a quality system, including conducting audits, establishing controls, training on tools and methodologies. Each day, you will support activities related to quality management within the organizational unit. You will also showcase your expertise by reporting quality Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and customer cases and maintaining process documentation.

You will be mainly accountable for:

Safety • Understands and follows plant safety and procedures • Avoid or prevent hazardous conditions from developing • Wears appropriate protective equipment as required, dresses and conducts self in a safe manner • Keeps work area clean and orderly and maintains Lean 5S • Participates in plant safety objectives

Job Functions • Responsible for all aspects of testing product to standards, i.e. work instructions, S.O.P’s, and revision control. • Ensures quality operation of the process, performs quality checks and controls, including adherence to cleaning and maintenance • Must maintain pre-determined efficiency, standards and productivity rates • Prepares and maintains accurate production records and follows SOP’s

Education and Experience • High School diploma/GED is required • Prior manufacturing experience or quality control experience Preferred • Ability to lift to 40lbs and perform push/pull functions • Can work overtime to meet Business Objectives • Can work a weekend schedule as needed.

Skills and/or Training • Ability to communicate, read, write, and understand various written instructions in English • Bend, twist & turn in a safe manner • Lift up to 40 Pounds • Stand for long periods • Good hand dexterity • Strong math skills
