About this role

Job Description

Test Technician is responsible for setting up and maintaining assembly lines.  Operates a wide variety of testing equipment, improvising hook-up and equipment modifications as necessary to test, adjust, align, calibrate and modify circuitry, components, systems or subsystems, ensuring consistency with company and customer design specifications and operational requirements.

Responsibilities

• Works from schematics, diagrams, sketches and oral instructions to update assembly fixtures that comply with customer specifications.

• Utilizes conceptual drawing to build cable and harness assemblies for production electronic products to interface with, Diode verification, pre-testing and Final Testing of finished product.

• Performs assembly equipment validation and/or qualification used to produce products in various industries such as Medical, Aerospace, Appliance, and Automotive.

• Performs a variety of complex functional and operational tests on developmental electronic systems, subsystems and assemblies in accordance with generally established procedures and data sheets.

• Troubleshoot to the component level and maintain records and logs of action(s) taken to resolve issues for proper traceability.  Identify potential problems in product or equipment and make recommendations as appropriate to maintain Company’s Quality Policy.

• Inspect and sign-off all work prior to releasing to production for further processing to ensure parts are tested and/or assembled to ensure product meets customer or internal specifications. 

• Use of measuring equipment (e.g. calipers, micrometer, VMM…) to ensure product meets customer or internal specifications.

Required Skills • Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality at all times • Proficient with MS Office software and use of a PC • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Well organized and able to multi-task. • Good math and analytical skills • Good decision making skills • Ability to plan and organize work activities with a focus on efficiency. • Ability to work under time constraints with changing priorities • Must be able to follow directions and work in a team environment

Qualifications • Requires an Associate’s Degree in Electronic Engineering Technology or equivalent experience and/or a minimum of three years of directly related experience. • Must be able to read and understand schematics and blue prints. • Understand basic electrical/electronic theory (e.g. application of Ohm’s Law) • Familiar with ISO 9001 / ISO 13485 requirement • Desired experience in Medical Device and/or Aerospace Industry. • Desired AutoCAD design experience or equivalent • Pay Range: $22-$25 per hour. FLSA - Hourly
