About the Role:
Grade Level (for internal use): 09 The Team: The 199 is S&P Global's award-winning in-house creative agency that sets the standard for financial industry storytelling through innovative brand experiences. Our tight-knit, globally distributed team values creative excellence, technical innovation, and collaborative problem-solving, working together to transform complex financial insights into compelling visual narratives. You'll join a dynamic environment where creative vision meets cutting-edge technology, supported by colleagues who encourage continuous learning and professional growth.
Responsibilities and Impact: The Technical Producer offers a unique opportunity to join a small, dynamic team and be the primary technical owner of our new, state-of-the-art studio in Manhattan. This is a blended role for a creative thinker with a strong technical focus. Your primary responsibility will be managing the technical infrastructure of our studio facilities, which includes a green screen/LED wall virtual production stage, a control room, and a self-contained podcast studio. While technical management is the focus, you are not afraid to pick up a camera, direct a client, or support a podcast recording. You will work closely with a Senior Producer and Associate Producer in New York, as well as our Technical Director in London serving as the main technical expert for the New York facility while also supporting our global teams. You are a self-starter who relishes learning new things and translating creative, story-driven needs into workable technical realities. • Serve as the first point of contact for all studio-related technical requests, ensuring equipment readiness for all productions.
• Look after all studio systems with remote help from our UK based broadcast engineering support team, including the Ross Ultrix Router, Panasonic Kairos vision mixer, and AdderLink KVM network.
• Log all technical issues, proactively identifying problems to minimize downtime, and act as the main point of contact with our broadcast support vendors.
• Take ownership of systems administration, ensuring all technical documentation is orderly and up-to-date on Confluence, including technical drawings and asset registers.
• Administer video-based SaaS systems, including Riverside.fm, CUEZ, Shade.inc, and others.
• Oversee vendor administration, contractor logistics, and organize site meetings with Facilities Management.
• Stay updated on industry trends, particularly in virtual production (both green screen and LED wall), and seek opportunities for continuous professional development.
• You’ll also get to work alongside our local and global production teams to film and edit engaging, customer-focused video and audio projects.
Compensation/Benefits Information: (This section is only applicable to US candidates) S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $59,212 to $92,566. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses, and certifications. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive bonus.
