About this role
Human Interest is on a mission to ensure that people in all lines of work have access to retirement benefits.
More than half of all working Americans are not saving enough for their future. Too often, it’s because they are employed by a company that doesn’t offer a retirement plan. Human Interest is changing that by making it affordable and accessible for small and medium-sized businesses to offer employees a path to financial independence through retirement savings.
We’re a high-growth fintech company changing the retirement industry. We are backed by a number of investors. This includes funding from Marshall Wace and Baillie Gifford, as well as top investors such as BlackRock , TPG (The Rise Fund) , SoftBank, Glynn Capital , NewView Capital, USVP, Wing, Uncork, and more.
About the role
As a Talent Development Program Specialist, you will play a key role in designing, building, and executing modern learning programs at Human Interest. You will act as both an instructional designer and an engaging facilitator, mixing strategy with storytelling to create resources, processes, and experiences that shape careers and drive our high-performance culture.
We are looking for someone who is tech-forward—who actively leverages modern AI tools to streamline content creation, elevate slide presentations, and scale enablement across the entire employee lifecycle.
What you get to do every day
Tech-Forward Instructional Design and Content Creation
• Design and build contemporary, self-led e-learning modules, on-demand micro-learning assets, training guides, facilitator materials, and slide decks.
• Actively leverage AI tools to write scripts, generate visual assets, draft assessments, and accelerate instructional design.
• Document processes and update People Team resources in our intranet (Confluence).
• Build structured project proposals and training deployment plans that clearly articulate learning objectives, target outcomes, and agile rollout strategies.
• Uphold Human Interest’s brand consistently through communications and experiences.
• Assess feedback and internal data to enhance, expand, change and/or adapt our offerings and ways of doing things.
• Establish post-training feedback channels to gather participant insights, actively translating learner input into actionable updates to refine and elevate learning programs.
Facilitation and Learning Delivery
• Facilitate energetic, interactive virtual and in-person training sessions and workshops across employee levels and different departments.
• Conduct thorough learning needs assessments and gap analyses to align L&D initiatives with company objectives, directly translating identified gaps into actionable learning solutions.
• Manage and execute talent programs, including ongoing employee growth and leadership development.
Stakeholder and People Team Support
• Work cross-functionally to support the success of talent development programs.
• Build effective relationships with other internal organizations to support employee development.
• Collaborate with stakeholders on employee development efforts that will aid in retaining top talent.
• Provide administrative support for our Learning Management System (Docebo).
• Manage and assist with People Team projects from inception to completion.
What you bring to the role
• 3- 5 years of experience in Learning & Development, Talent Development, Instructional Design or related fields.
• Experience creating eLearning content using tools such as Articulate Rise.
• Strong facilitation and presentation skills in both in-person and virtual environments.
• Working knowledge of LMS administration (experience with Docebo and Confluence is a major plus) and multimedia editing software (e.g., Canva).
• Proven ability to leverage AI tools to optimize daily workflows, draft content, and build visual assets.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
• Meticulous organization and attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal and cross-functional skills.
• Able to function independently, as well as collaboratively with other team members.
• Ability to leverage existing tools and materials creatively to build high-impact, scalable solutions within lean environments.
