ABOUT CHAI DISCOVERY

Chai is a research lab working on AI to unlock biology. Our models design new molecules for new medicines. We are changing how biologists develop drugs, just as language models are changing how engineers write code. Our vision is a design suite for molecules, with applications across life sciences, agriculture, materials and beyond.

Our founders have been at the forefront of this field from the beginning. We are backed by Thrive, General Catalyst, OpenAI, Dimension and other tier-one investors. We partner with global life sciences companies like Eli Lilly on deals that are transforming industry.

We are known for talent density, rigorous research and pace of execution.

CAN YOU HELP US?

We are looking for a few exceptional individuals to anchor our founding talent team. We are indexing on curiosity, taste, resourcefulness, and IQ and EQ in equal measure. It will be a lot of fun, a lot of work, and extraordinarily rewarding.

#1 Build something exceptional.

You will help design every detail of this org. You will refine your nose for outlier talent and exceptional genius, wherever it may be found. You relentlessly tackle every aspect of every assignment you take on.

#2 Learn everything, communicate expertly.

This job demands that you can hold an intelligent conversation with anyone at any level. You will ravenously learn everything about our domain, what we're doing, and why we're doing it -- so that you can tell our story with passion and authenticity. You care and build trust by keeping it real.

You will embed within our research, science, product and/or partnerships teams so that you understand them and can build them.

#3 Think + act different.

We don't think the status quo is good enough, and neither do you. You have consistently shown innate ability to think and act beyond what is expected in order to achieve out-of-distribution results. You turn insight into action, optimize for iteration over perfection, and operate with urgency & creativity in equal measure.
