The Opportunity: CACI is seeking an experienced Tactical Communications Systems Engineer, Senior to support the engineering, integration, deployment, configuration, testing, and sustainment of tactical communications capabilities across the Indo-Pacific. The Tactical Communications Systems Engineer serves as CACI's Communication Engineering professional responsible for supporting secure, resilient voice, data, and network communications that enable distributed   logistics , command-and-control, and mission support operations. Reporting to the Communications Engineering Lead, this position applies communications engineering principles to tactical radio, satellite, line-of-sight, beyond-line-of-sight, and IP-based communications systems   operating   in fixed, mobile, expeditionary, and contested environments.     The Tactical Communications Systems Engineer works closely with Government stakeholders, network engineers, systems engineers, cybersecurity personnel, COMSEC custodians, field service technicians, logisticians, operational planners, vendors, and mission partners to   establish   and sustain interoperable communications across geographically dispersed nodes. The position supports Joint Theater Distribution Centers (JTDCs), Intermediate Staging Bases (ISBs), command-and-control nodes, warehouses, airfields, ports, and forward operating locations while providing technical support for secure communications in disconnected, disrupted, intermittent, and limited-bandwidth (DDIL) environments.     Responsibilities: • Engineer, configure, integrate, test, deploy, and sustain tactical communications systems supporting distributed   logistics   and mission operations.   • Support secure voice, data, radio, satellite, line-of-sight (LOS), beyond-line-of-sight (BLOS), and IP-based communications capabilities across fixed, mobile, and expeditionary sites.   • Analyze mission requirements, site conditions, coverage requirements, bandwidth demands, interoperability constraints, and communications dependencies to develop technically sound solutions.   • Develop communications architectures, system diagrams, equipment configurations, frequency and network interface requirements, implementation plans, and technical documentation.   • Configure and troubleshoot tactical radios, SATCOM terminals, routers, switches, antennas, modems, encryption-enabled devices, and associated communications infrastructure within authorized procedures.   • Support establishment and sustainment of communications at JTDCs, ISBs, warehouses, ports, airfields, command-and-control nodes, and forward operating locations.   • Perform communications system integration, functional testing, interoperability testing, coverage validation, and operational acceptance testing before fielding or mission use.   • Troubleshoot RF, SATCOM, network, interface, connectivity, latency, bandwidth, power, and equipment issues and coordinate corrective actions to restore mission capability.   • Support resilient communications planning for DDIL and contested environments, including alternate pathways, redundant communications,   degraded-mode operations, and PACE considerations.   • Coordinate with COMSEC personnel to ensure communications equipment is configured and   operated   in accordance with   approved keying, handling, accountability, and security procedures.   • Coordinate communications activities with cybersecurity and RMF personnel to   maintain   approved technical baselines, security controls, vulnerability management, and system authorization requirements.   • Support spectrum and frequency coordination activities with authorized Government personnel to reduce interference and enable interoperable communications.   •   Maintain   equipment inventories, configuration records, network diagrams, technical manuals, test results, maintenance records, and system baseline documentation.   • Support integration of tactical communications with   logistics   information systems, edge devices, sensors, data-fusion capabilities, and mission command applications.   • Evaluate communications performance and recommend improvements to coverage, availability, resilience, interoperability, scalability, and maintainability.   •   Provide   technical guidance to technicians and field personnel performing communications installation, configuration, testing, troubleshooting, and sustainment activities.   • Support exercises, contingency operations, humanitarian assistance/disaster response, surge requirements, and emergent missions requiring rapid communications deployment or reconfiguration.   • Coordinate with Government technical authorities, OEMs, vendors, and mission partners to resolve communications engineering issues and implement approved technical changes.   • Ensure communications engineering activities   comply with   applicable DoD cybersecurity, COMSEC, spectrum, interoperability, safety, configuration-management, and contractual requirements.   •   Identify   emerging tactical communications technologies and recommend practical capability improvements that enhance resilient theater   logistics   and mission support.     Qualifications: Required:   • Minimum 3 years of experience supporting communications engineering, tactical communications, RF communications, SATCOM, network communications, systems integration, or related Government or Department of Defense technical operations.   • Experience configuring, integrating, testing, troubleshooting, or sustaining tactical radio, SATCOM, LOS/BLOS, IP-based, or related communications systems in operational environments.   • Experience developing or   maintaining   communications diagrams, equipment configurations, t
