At Baxter Healthcare Corporation, we encourage an environment where teamwork and innovation flourish. As a Supply Chain Supervisor II, you will lead the management of our supply chain operations. You will ensure smooth warehousing, shipping, and inventory control processes. This role provides your chance to create a meaningful impact on our mission to deliver quality healthcare solutions worldwide.
Responsibilities • Accountable for the day-to-day operation in the warehouse, Interplant, and miscellaneous shipments.
• Responsible for management of finished goods and intermediates (WIP).
• Provides quality and efficient support to our organization.
• Partner with the planning and purchasing team to explore ways to improve inventory management.
• Provide mentorship and direction for warehouses, material handlers, and shipping specialists.
• Ensure efficient and uninterrupted flow of materials and finished products, including their receipt, internal movement, accurate storage, issuance, and shipment.
• Work together with different plant management on operational concerns related to shipping, warehouse, and inventory control that affect plant operations.
• Work with order management, sales & marketing, product managers, manufacturing, suppliers, distribution centers, and third-party logistics providers in support of business objectives.
• Coordinate service levels in conjunction with inventory goals through distribution requirement planning and deployments.
• Manage transportation provider relationships.
• Review and process claims against carriers for material damaged in transit.
• Inspect incoming materials against order and specifications.
• Manage and schedule the timely transfer of materials and finished products to and from production and warehouse areas.
• Coordinate pallet inventory for the plant.
• Coordinate product flow to and from contract sterilizer, including managing related communication with sterilizer.
• Drive engagement in the team by modeling our leader behaviors.
• Learn, understand, and apply rigorous quality standards, established guidelines, and Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
• Maintain accurate inventory control procedures and documentation for all finished products produced, stored, and shipped from the plant.
• Serve as primary plant liaison with the Replenishment Center.
• Manage the organization and delegation of duties to ensure personnel and equipment are used efficiently, improving the flow of materials and overall plant productivity.
What you'll bring • A bachelor’s degree is required; a field of study in operations, logistics, or a related discipline is preferred, though any bachelor’s degree will be considered.
• Candidates must also have 5–10 years of leadership or supervisory experience in a comparable operations or logistics environment.
• APICS certification preferred.
• Strong leadership capabilities, encompassing extensive cross-functional project coordination and the ability to foster effective collaboration between departments.
• Complete, in-depth understanding of all aspects of the business, including profitability, inventory turns, and service levels.
• Strong communication abilities (with staff, peers, and upper management) and the capacity to build rapport with other functional leaders within Baxter and the supply base.
• Able to analyze tradeoffs between business objectives and to think systemically.
• Strong change management skills, including embracing change, challenging the status quo, and recommending improvements to products and processes.
• Able to get results through team leadership and culture transformation.
• Ability to build tools that help simplify job tasks and share them with others.
• Able to communicate across multiple levels of the organization. Has strong communication and presentation skills that influence others in sensitive situations.
• Capable of analyzing and solving complex problems through innovative thought and negotiation.
• Understand verbal and written safety and quality instructions and read and comprehend written work instructions, including words and drawings.

At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $80,000 - $100,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors.
