About this role
Job Profile: Procurement Analyst 2 Job Family: Procurement Time Type: Full time Apply before 11:59 PM Arizona time the day before the posted End Date.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of experience appropriate to the area of assignment/field; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or training from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
Job Profile Summary: Reviews and processes intermediate to complex purchasing requests for products and/or services, in accordance with established University policies and procedures. Prepares basic procurement documentation, and interacts with vendors and staff on intermediate to complex procurement issues. Negotiates routine to intermediate contracts with vendors. Job Description: The Supply Chain Sourcing Strategist leads procurement activities and drives sourcing strategies across ASU’s departments. This role analyzes supply chain data, develops and executes sourcing strategies, reports on supplier metrics and manages supplier performance and drives negotiations across technology services, software, equipment and related categories. This role engages and collaborates across departments to understand their business and research needs, gather requirements, create solutions that meet the department’s needs. This role aligns with departments on sourcing and supplier selection decisions. Two positions are available. One will support the construction team, one will support facilities management.

Position Salary Range: $57,000-$61,000 annually
Essential Duties: ● Lead departments across ASU through the procurement process in accordance with Arizona Board of Regents (“ABOR”) guidelines ● Analyze procurement and supply chain data to create value opportunities in assigned categories ● Perform data analytics to identify risks, value and cost savings, and strategic sourcing opportunities for spend areas ● Engages and collaborates with partners across departments to develop supply chain strategies and strategic sourcing initiatives that align with business requirements ● Lead contract negotiations to optimize value and mitigate risk ●Support sourcing and supplier engagement activities for construction and/or facilities management related operational needs. ● Negotiate pricing and contract terms by coordinating with legal, finance and department stakeholders ● Lead supplier performance management and monitor contract compliance for quality, cost, delivery, service ● Seeks to learn ASU’s department business needs to effectively source and select suppliers that meet ASU’s needs ● Demonstrate curiosity to learn, enhance and implement technology and tools across supply chain processes ● Perform other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skill and Abilities Basic knowledge of supply chain, sourcing and procurement, including sourcing strategy, data analysis, financial analysis, contract terms and conditions, procurement activities, risk assessment, supplier performance management and metrics. Basic knowledge of supply chain systems and technologies. Ability to facilitate meetings across levels of both internal and external parties. Basic data analytics and financial acumen skills. Strong business acumen with strong written and oral communication skills. Strong ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Basic skills in planning, analyzing, and coordinating activities and established priorities. Ability to navigate evolving and scaling environments. Strong desire to continuously learn and utilize technology to enhance efficiency.
Desired Qualifications: Experience in public procurement, sourcing and procurement, process automation, supplier negotiations, technology services procurement, software licensing, equipment sourcing, supply chain technology systems and AI. Experience in supplier performance management. Experience in construction and/or facilities management procurement helpful.
Working Environment: This role is located in ASU’s Tempe, AZ. The environment is in an office setting in various campus buildings and athletic facilities. The role cannot typically be done remotely.
