Job Posting Title: Supervisor, Campus Behavioral Health Operations and External Relations ---- Hiring Department: Department of Psychiatry ---- Position Open To: All Applicants ---- Weekly Scheduled Hours: 40 ---- FLSA Status: Exempt from FLSA ---- Earliest Start Date: Aug 10, 2026 ---- Position Duration: Expected to Continue Until Aug 31, 2027 ---- Location: AUSTIN, TX ---- Job Details: General Notes Dell Medical School is seeking a Supervisor, Campus Behavioral Health Operations and External Relations.   Purpose This position is funded through the Texas Child Mental Health Care Consortium (TCMHCC), a statewide initiative established by the Texas Legislature to strengthen access to and coordination of mental health services for children, adolescents, and perinatal women. The University of Texas at Austin Dell Medical School serves as a designated Health-Related Institution (HRI) under TCMHCC.

The Supervisor, Campus Behavioral Health Operations and External Relations, provides frontline leadership and operational oversight for school-based behavioral health programs. This role supervises community-facing staff, coordinates day-to-day program delivery, and supports consistent implementation of outreach strategies. The Supervisor collaborates closely with clinical teams, program leadership, school districts, and community partners to ensure effective program execution, regulatory compliance, and positive stakeholder engagement. Reporting to a Manager of Outreach and Education, this role translates program goals into actionable outreach workflows and monitors performance, quality, and service delivery outcomes.   This position has an end date of 8/31/2027, but may be renewable based upon availability of funding, work performance, and progress toward goals. Funding is expected to continue.

Responsibilities Leads Staff Supervision and Team Coordination • Recruits, hires, trains, s     supervises, coaches, and develops community behavioral health liaisons.

• Assigns staffing, workloads, schedules, and geographic coverage to optimize outreach activities and service delivery.

• Monitors staff productivity, engagement, and performance outcomes.

• Establishes performance expectations, conducts performance discussions, and manages corrective action as needed. 

    Coordinates Daily Behavioral Health Operations • Oversees day-to-day outreach strategy and workflows.

• Ensures timely and consistent outreach activities      across school and community sites.

• Adjusts workflows and staffing based on program demand and priorities.

• Troubleshoots operational issues and escalates complex concerns.

Leads External Partnerships and Stakeholder Engagement • Serves as primary point of contact for designated school and community partners.

• Represents the program at community or academic events.

• Supports relationship management and communication with district leaders.

• Participates in stakeholder meetings, outreach events, and program briefings.

• Facilitates issue resolution and partner feedback collection.

Ensures Compliance and Quality Standards • Ensures adherence to HIPAA, FERPA, and organizational compliance requirements.

• Reinforces documentation, reporting, and workflow standards.

• Supports audit readiness and addresses minor compliance findings.

• Escalates risks or compliance concerns to leadership.

Monitors Performance, Data, and Reporting • Tracks operational metrics, utilization, and outreach outcomes.

• Reviews data for trends, gaps, and improvement opportunities.

• Ensures accurate and timely data entry in designated systems.

• Prepares routine operational and performance reports.

Implements Process Improvements • Identifies inefficiencies in workflows and proposes improvements.

• Supports implementation of standardized processes and tools.

• Incorporates partner and staff feedback into operational enhancements.

• Assists leadership in piloting new initiatives.

Collaborates Cross-Functionally • Coordinates with clinical, administrative, and IT teams.

• Aligns outreach      operations with broader program goals.

• Supports internal communication and resource alignment.

Marginal or Periodic Functions: • Supports onboarding of new staff.

• Participates in special projects, pilots, or expansion initiatives.

• Contributes to development of outreach materials and tools.

• Adheres to internal controls and reporting structure.

• Performs related duties as required.
