Scope of Position This detail-oriented and dependable individual, as part of the Warehouse & Logistics team, will be responsible for receiving, storing, issuing, and tracking materials, equipment, and inventory items to support manufacturing operations. The role ensures inventory is properly maintained, stocked, and organized while supporting shipping activities and timely material availability for production and customer requirements.
This position does not have direct supervisory responsibility.
This position reports to the Warehouse Supervisor. This role is onsite and based in Hutchinson, KS.
Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities • Receive, inspect, and stock incoming freight, materials, and supplies. • Store, organize, and issue materials, equipment, and inventory items from stockroom locations. • Package and ship service parts, boilers, and other products in accordance with company procedures. • Operate forklifts, overhead hoists, and other material-handling equipment safely and efficiently. • Maintain inventory organization and assist with inventory accuracy initiatives. • Perform data entry and update inventory records within company systems. • Complete shipping, receiving, and inventory-related paperwork accurately and timely. • Ensure assigned departmental tasks are completed within established quality and productivity standards. • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. • Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and personal protective equipment requirements. • Demonstrate Watts values of Integrity, Accountability, Continuous Improvement, and Transparency. • Assume responsibility for other projects and duties as assigned by the Warehouse Supervisor or Company management. • Travel Requirements: N/A.
Required Qualifications • High school diploma or GED required. • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately. • Basic computer skills and ability to perform data entry. • Strong mathematical skills with the ability to count, sort, and verify inventory accurately. • Ability to read and accurately use a tape measure. • Ability to organize and prioritize work to meet operational requirements. • Ability to safely operate a forklift or obtain forklift certification upon hire. • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. • Understanding of and adherence to applicable laws, codes, policies, regulations, and safety practices and procedures, as applicable. • Must successfully establish employment eligibility and satisfactorily complete applicable background checks, including drug screening, and required pre-employment testing as a condition of employment.
Preferred Qualifications • Previous experience in a warehouse, stockroom, shipping and receiving, or manufacturing environment. • Experience operating forklifts, overhead hoists, or other material-handling equipment. • Experience with inventory control, cycle counting, or materials management. • Experience using ERP, MRP, or inventory management systems. • Knowledge of shipping documentation and freight handling procedures. • Forklift certification.

Working Conditions: While performing the job duties, you will be working on-site in a manufacturing facility. You will be required to work at the Company's Hutchinson, KS location. Your scheduled work hours will be communicated to you by your manager.
Physical Requirements : Specific physical abilities required for this position include, but are not limited to:
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.. • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds. • Ability to push and pull up to 25 pounds. • Ability to bend, stoop, squat, kneel, reach, and twist regularly throughout the workday. • Ability to safely operate forklifts, overhead hoists, and other material-handling equipment. • Ability to use both hands and feet to perform material handling and inventory activities. • Ability to read labels, inventory documents, shipping paperwork, and measuring devices accurately. • Ability to read documents and communicate clearly with management and coworkers. • Ability to work in warehouse and manufacturing environments. • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment, which may include, but is not limited to, safety shoes, hearing protection, and safety glasses. • Ability to maintain regular, dependable, and reliable attendance.
