Make your impact within a rapidly growing Fintech Company

Join BILL as a Staff Technical Delivery Manager on our Engineering Enablement team. This team is the operational backbone for BILL's engineering organization: each TDM partners directly with engineering leadership to keep high-priority programs moving, maintain visibility across delivery risk, and translate technical progress into clear, actionable communication for cross-functional stakeholders. The work spans BILL's most critical engineering surfaces, from the payments infrastructure that moves money for hundreds of thousands of small and midsize businesses to the platform services and AI systems that every product team builds on.

In this role you will own end-to-end execution of complex, cross-functional programs across multiple engineering orgs, stepping in where structured coordination is the difference between on-track and off-track. You will build relationships with engineering leads and VPs across the organization, maintain a clear view of active program status and delivery risk, and bring the right level of structure to fast-moving environments without adding overhead. This is a hands-on execution role with real org-wide impact.

Responsibilities:

• Own end-to-end execution of high-priority programs across engineering orgs, including infrastructure releases, cross-functional product launches, compliance-driven delivery cycles, and programs where diffuse ownership creates coordination risk.

• Maintain a current view of program status, milestones, dependencies, and delivery risks across active initiatives; surface blockers early and drive resolution before they affect timelines.

• Partner with engineering leads and VPs on program scoping, sequencing, and milestone tracking across agile and hybrid delivery models, engaging meaningfully on technical decisions that affect timelines or cross-team dependencies.

• Build and maintain operating cadences including planning cycles, program reviews, and status reporting with a bias toward signal over noise.

• Translate technical progress and delivery risks into clear, actionable communication for product, finance, and engineering leadership.

• Identify misalignments across teams and escalate with context and a recommended path forward.

• Use AI tooling and program management platforms to reduce operational overhead while maintaining fidelity on what matters.

We'd love to chat if you have:

• 5 or more years in technical program management, software engineering, or a closely related field with a track record of running complex, cross-functional programs end to end.

• Solid command of the software development lifecycle, including how engineering teams scope, sequence, estimate, and deliver work across agile and hybrid delivery models.

• Technical acumen at a systems level: enough to engage credibly with engineers on how decisions affect timelines and dependencies, and to ramp on a new domain without being hand-held.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write clearly for engineering and cross-functional audiences and run structured program reviews.

• Ability to influence without authority across engineering, product, and finance, building credibility through follow-through and precision.

• Comfort moving between different engineering contexts and teams, adapting quickly to new domains, stakeholders, and program dynamics without losing momentum.

• Proven experience using AI tooling and program management platforms to keep operational overhead lean without losing fidelity.

• Excellent organization skills and expert level knowledge in productivity and work management tooling.

• Practical knowledge and experience with OKR setting and tracking in a multi-team environment.

Desired Qualifications:

• Background in software engineering, particularly candidates who have grown toward program or product leadership over time.

• Experience at a scaling fintech or SaaS company where pace and ambiguity are the norm.

• Familiarity with payments infrastructure, platform engineering, or AI and ML development cycles.

• Demonstrated use of AI tooling to reduce operational overhead while maintaining program fidelity.
