About the Team
IT Engineering at CoreWeave designs, builds, and operates the systems that enable our employees and acquired organizations to work securely and efficiently at scale. The team partners closely with Security, Business Development, PeopleOps, and Corporate functions to deliver resilient, standardized, and automation-first IT solutions that support CoreWeave’s rapid growth.
About the Role
As a Staff Systems Engineer, Enterprise Architect, you will own and evolve CoreWeave’s internal IT and SaaS ecosystem. This is a staff-level engineering role focused on building scalable, secure, and well-governed platforms that enable the business to operate efficiently.
We are looking for someone with strong systems engineering depth and hands-on development experience who can build internal tools, automation, and self-service capabilities that reduce manual operational work across IT. This role is not limited to administering systems; it requires someone who can identify repetitive processes, design durable solutions, and leverage APIs, workflow platforms, infrastructure-as-code, and AI-enabled tooling to improve how employees and IT teams get work done.
You will act as a broad technical owner across core IT systems, including Google Workspace, Slack, domain infrastructure, Cloudflare, and other enterprise SaaS platforms. Beyond operating these systems, you will drive standardization, automation, rationalization, and self-service, ensuring our environment remains sustainable as the company scales.
This role requires strong technical judgment and leadership, including the ability to identify and reduce technical debt, deprecate unsupported tools, and guide the business toward durable, supportable solutions. You will partner closely with Identity, Security, Infrastructure, and business stakeholders to ensure CoreWeave’s IT platform is reliable, secure, automated, and built for long-term scale.
What You’ll Do
• Own and operate CoreWeave’s core IT platform, including Google Workspace, Slack, Cloudflare, DNS/domain infrastructure, and other enterprise SaaS systems.
• Design and maintain secure, scalable configurations across collaboration, communication, and edge/network-adjacent platforms.
• Build internal self-service tools, automations, and workflows that reduce manual IT tasks, improve employee experience, and allow business teams to complete common requests without direct IT intervention.
• Develop production-grade automation using APIs, scripting, workflow platforms, infrastructure-as-code, and AI-enabled capabilities where appropriate.
• Identify high-volume, repetitive, or manual operational processes and convert them into scalable automated or self-service solutions.
• Leverage AI-assisted tooling and intelligent workflows to improve operational efficiency, reduce ticket volume, accelerate troubleshooting, and streamline knowledge access.
• Manage DNS, domain lifecycle, and email authentication, including DKIM, SPF, and DMARC.
• Drive tooling rationalization by identifying redundant, legacy, or unsupported systems and leading consolidation or deprecation efforts.
• Establish and enforce standards for system ownership, supportability, lifecycle management, and automation readiness.
• Build and maintain infrastructure-as-code for IT systems using APIs, Terraform, workflow platforms, and internal development frameworks.
• Improve IT asset management, system inventory, lifecycle tracking, and SaaS governance across internal tooling.
• Enhance observability, reliability, and operational health of IT systems.
• Partner with Identity and Security teams to ensure proper access controls, integrations, approvals, and policy enforcement across platforms.
• Lead onboarding of new tools with a focus on standardization, integration, automation, self-service, and long-term maintainability.
• Develop and maintain documentation, standards, runbooks, and knowledge systems that support scalable IT operations.
• Serve as a senior escalation point for complex system issues and participate in on-call as needed.
• Drive continuous improvement in automation, architecture, developer experience, employee self-service, and operational maturity.
What You Bring
Required
• 7–10+ years of experience in IT systems engineering, enterprise IT, platform engineering, infrastructure engineering, or a similar technical role.
• Proven experience operating as a broad IT generalist across SaaS platforms and core IT systems.
• Strong hands-on development or automation experience, with the ability to design, build, test, deploy, and maintain internal tools or production-grade automations.
• Experience building self-service tools, portals, workflows, chat-based automations, approval systems, or internal applications that reduce manual work for IT or business teams.
• Deep hands-on experience with several of the following:
• Google Workspace
• Slack
• DNS and domain management
• Cloudflare or similar platforms
• Email authentication, including DKIM, SPF, and DMARC
• AWS, GCP, Azure, or IT-related cloud workloads
• Full-stack automation mindset with deep, hands-on experience using Python, PowerShell, TypeScript, Go, or similar languages.
• Experience integrating systems using APIs, webhooks, event-driven workflows, and infrastructure-as-code.
• Experience with Terraform.
• Ability to evaluate manual processes and design scalable automated or self-service alternatives.
