About the Role McKesson is seeking a strategic and results-driven Senior Supply Chain Optimization Manager to lead enterprise-scale initiatives that improve supply chain performance, enhance customer experience, and drive measurable business outcomes. This role serves as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, identifying opportunities to optimize inventory, logistics, sourcing, fulfillment, and operational processes across the supply chain. As a senior individual contributor, you will lead complex cross-functional projects from strategy development through implementation and value realization. The ideal candidate brings deep supply chain expertise, strong analytical problem-solving capabilities, and the ability to influence stakeholders across multiple functions in a fast-paced environment.
What You'll Do • Lead strategic supply chain transformation and optimization initiatives across inventory management, logistics, sourcing, distribution, and operations. • Identify, evaluate, and prioritize opportunities to improve service levels, operational efficiency, cost performance, and customer experience. • Develop business cases, project plans, executive presentations, roadmaps, risk assessments, and implementation strategies. • Lead complex cross-functional projects from concept through execution and benefit realization. • Partner with business leaders and stakeholders to define requirements, align priorities, and drive successful outcomes. • Analyze operational data, performance metrics, and market trends to identify improvement opportunities and recommend solutions. • Apply continuous improvement methodologies to optimize processes and enhance supply chain capabilities. • Drive organizational alignment, stakeholder engagement, and change management activities. • Present recommendations, project status, risks, and business impact to senior leadership. • Serve as a subject matter expert on supply chain optimization, process improvement, and operational excellence.
Basic Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, or a related field, or equivalent experience. • Typically requires 7+ years of relevant professional experience in supply chain, logistics, operations, procurement, inventory management, demand planning, transportation, or business process improvement. • Experience leading complex cross-functional projects and enterprise initiatives. • Demonstrated experience using data and analytics to drive operational improvements and business decisions. • Experience developing business cases, executive presentations, project plans, and implementation roadmaps. • Strong knowledge of supply chain operations, including at least one of the following: inventory management, logistics, transportation, sourcing, procurement, demand planning, distribution, or fulfillment. • Proven ability to influence stakeholders and drive results without direct authority.
Preferred Skills/Experience • Lean, Lean Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement, or Operational Excellence certification. • Experience leading supply chain transformation initiatives. • Advanced analytical skills using Excel, Power BI, Tableau, SQL, or similar tools. • Experience supporting large-scale organizational change and process reengineering efforts. • Healthcare, pharmaceutical, medical-surgical, distribution, manufacturing, or logistics industry experience. • Knowledge of supply chain systems such as SAP, Oracle, Blue Yonder, Manhattan, Kinaxis, or related platforms. • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or comparable project management experience. • Strong executive presentation and stakeholder management skills.
Travel / Work Arrangement / Physical Requirements • Position may require occasional travel (up to 15%) to support business initiatives, stakeholder meetings, or operational site visits. • Hybrid work arrangement, if applicable, based on business and location requirements. • Ability to remain stationary for extended periods while working at a computer and participating in meetings.

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations.
