Your Role at Baxter The Senior Specialist, User Research Operations supports the planning, coordination, execution, and continuous improvement of user research and human factors studies across the product development lifecycle. This role partners with UX Researchers, Human Factors Engineers, and cross-functional teams to deliver user-centered insights that inform product design and development.
What You'll Do: • Support and execute user research and human factors studies, including usability testing, interviews, observational research, and simulation-based evaluations. • Coordinate end-to-end study logistics, including participant recruitment, scheduling, communications, and research site management. • Prepare study materials, facilitate research sessions, manage recordings, and maintain accurate research documentation. • Collect, organize, and synthesize qualitative and quantitative data to develop actionable research insights and reports. • Contribute to a variety of research methodologies, including heuristic evaluations, cognitive walkthroughs, contextual inquiry, workflow analysis, surveys, and task analysis. • Maintain research facilities, equipment, digital tools, and simulated-use environments to ensure study readiness and operational efficiency. • Support compliance, governance, and administrative activities, including contracts, NDAs, vendor management, ethics processes, and audit readiness. • Drive research operations excellence through process improvements, standardization, knowledge sharing, onboarding support, and promotion of user-centered design practices.
What You'll Bring • Bachelor's degree in Human Factors, Psychology, HCI, UX, Anthropology, Sociology, Biomedical Engineering, Nursing/Healthcare, Design Research, Market Research, or a related field. Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. • 3+ years of experience supporting or conducting user research, human factors, clinical research, design research, market research, or related activities. • Knowledge of user-centered design principles, usability engineering, and qualitative research methodologies. • Experience with user research methods such as usability testing, user interviews, contextual inquiry, heuristic evaluations, cognitive walkthroughs, ethnographic observation, and workflow analysis. • Ability to collect, organize, analyze, and synthesize qualitative research findings into actionable insights and recommendations. • Strong facilitation, communication, stakeholder management, and project coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent studies. • Experience working directly with healthcare professionals, patients, caregivers, or other end users is preferred. • Experience in healthcare, medical device, or other regulated product development environments, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office and collaboration tools, is highly desirable.

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $76,000-$104,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
