*** Please note that this is a HYBRID role, requiring this person to work at our Cottonwood Heights office in SLC three days a week. ***

We are currently seeking a Senior Software Engineer at our corporate offices located in Salt Lake City, Utah. The Senior Software Engineer is a technical leader responsible for delivering high-quality, scalable solutions that drive business impact. This role leads complex projects, mentors engineers, and collaborates across teams to align technology with strategic goals. It offers an environment where innovation, ownership, and influence are key to success.  Our senior engineers are key technical contributors on agile teams of 3-5 developers.  This position reports to the IT Manager, Business Systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Lead the design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of software systems and websites.

• Partner with business stakeholders to understand needs and deliver solutions that exceed expectations.

• Design, build, and maintain integrations between core business systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics 365, Concur, Workday, Salesforce), ensuring reliable, secure, and well-monitored data flow across the enterprise.

• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, balancing priorities and timelines effectively.

• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, promoting best practices and technical growth.

• Drive technical excellence by applying sound design principles and modern engineering practices.

• Research, evaluate, and recommend software, hardware, and platforms to support team and business goals.

• Write and maintain technical documentation and architectural decisions.

• Provide technical support and guidance to peers and support teams.

• Train end users or technical staff on system functionality.

• Champion Agile/Scrum methodologies and DevOps practices to improve team performance and delivery.

Qualifications: • Strong, demonstrable proficiency in C# and T-SQL.

• Proven ability to pick up new languages, frameworks, and platforms quickly as business needs evolve.

• Hands-on experience developing and maintaining integrations between enterprise business systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics 365, Concur, Workday, Salesforce) using REST/SOAP APIs, middleware, and event-driven or file-based patterns.

• Experience with DevOps and experience building and deploying infrastructure with cloud deployment technologies like VSTS, AWS, Azure, etc.

• Experience with Scrum/Agile development methodologies

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field

• 6+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and training

Competencies: Required • Deep proficiency in C# and T-SQL, paired with the versatility to move between languages and platforms as the work demands.

• Specialization in enterprise system integration, including API design, authentication, data mapping and transformation, error handling, and cross-system troubleshooting.

• Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

• Strategic thinking with a business-oriented mindset

• Demonstrated technical foresight and sound judgment

• Ability to break down complex initiatives into manageable milestones

Preferred : • Experience with any of the following: Salesforce development, OutSystems development, React, TypeScript.

• Experience with MS SQL Server and modern web fundamentals (HTML5, CSS, JavaScript).

• Strong experience with cloud platforms and deployment tools (e.g., Azure, AWS, VSTS)

• Proven ability to deliver across multiple priorities with minimal supervision

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements: Performs sedentary work in an office environment with limited lifting (less than 10 pounds) or walking required. Close visual acuity required to perform work at computer terminal. No exposure to adverse environmental conditions. Requires repetitive typing motion, talking, hearing, grasping and feeling.
