Sr Product Marketing Manager, Cloud Data Protection

Rubrik's Marketing team is growing, and we're looking for people to join us at a pivotal moment in our journey — as a public company helping to define the cyber resilience category. We're seeking a dynamic, results-driven Sr Product Marketing Manager to lead product marketing for our cloud data protection solution area. This "full-stack" PMM role calls for an experienced, self-motivated professional who can shape strategy in collaboration with leadership and execute cross-functionally to drive measurable outcomes for the cloud data protection business.

The ideal candidate aligns with executive vision, translates strategic objectives into actionable plans, and works closely with sales, product management, and other marketing teams to ensure cohesive, successful execution.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and define strategy: Partner with leadership to build a comprehensive product marketing strategy for the cloud data protection solution area, aligned to overall business objectives. Conduct market analysis, competitive intelligence, and customer research to identify opportunities and threats.

• Product positioning: Craft compelling, differentiated positioning and messaging that resonates with target buyers, emphasizing Rubrik's cyber resilience capabilities across cloud.

• Go-to-market (GTM) execution: Own and execute GTM plans for launches and campaigns in your solution area — including sales enablement, promotional campaigns, and competitive positioning — to drive adoption and market penetration of Rubrik's cloud solutions.

• Content and communications: Produce high-impact content and assets — core collateral, thought leadership, whitepapers, case studies, blog posts, webinars, presentations, and sales plays — that translate complex technical concepts into clear customer benefits. Use AI tools to accelerate research and content production.

• Competitive and analyst positioning: Maintain deep competitive intelligence and support analyst engagements (e.g., Gartner) to strengthen Rubrik's position in the cloud data protection landscape.

• Cross-functional partnership: Work closely with sales, sales enablement, product management, customer marketing, field marketing, partner marketing, and demand generation to align on objectives, share insights, and drive cohesive strategies.

Qualifications

• Education: BA/BS degree. MBA is a plus.

• 4–7 years in technology, strategy, consulting, or a marketing-related discipline, with at least 2 years in a product marketing or product management capacity.

• Experience in B2B go-to-market.

• Knowledge of AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud environments is highly desirable.

• Experience in cybersecurity — ideally data security, cloud security, or data protection.

• Fluency with Claude Cowork to accelerate research, content, and GTM execution.

• Experience collaborating cross-functionally and building consensus among multiple stakeholders, including senior leadership, in an entrepreneurial, high-expectation environment.

• A resourceful, action- and detail-oriented approach with a high-ownership mindset and a track record of measurable impact.

Success in this role: measurable impact on revenue growth, sales effectiveness, and market awareness for the cloud data protection area

#LI-Remote The minimum and maximum base salaries for this role are posted below; additionally, the role is eligible for bonus potential, equity and benefits. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the role based on U.S. location. Within the range, the salary offered will be determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. US (SF Bay Area, DC Metro, NYC, Seattle) Pay Range $155,500 — $233,300 USD

The minimum and maximum base salaries for this role are posted below; additionally, the role is eligible for bonus potential, equity and benefits. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the role based on U.S. location. Within the range, the salary offered will be determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. US2 (all other US offices/remote) Pay Range $140,000 — $210,000 USD
