Our Cranial & Spinal Technologies (CST) operating unit advances surgical care for spine and cranial conditions through an integrated ecosystem of implants, navigation, robotics, imaging, and planning tools. Check us out on LinkedIn: Medtronic CST In this role, you would serve as the technical lead for Polarion and related engineering systems, supporting both the setup and ongoing maintenance of on-prem or AWS-hosted environments. You would partner with internal stakeholders and external vendors to design, implement, and integrate solutions, while also handling basic scripting, infrastructure support, and troubleshooting to keep the platform running smoothly. You would also help drive tool consolidation, support implementation efforts, and ensure engineering teams have the systems, documentation, and technical support they need to work efficiently. • IT Infrastructure & Administration
• Installs, operates, manages, and maintains hardware and/or software, including administrator and service accounts, maintenance of system documentation, tuning system performance, backup/recovery, and other planned configuration changes.
• Interacts with users and other stakeholders to plan and implement changes and deliver support across all R&D teams.
• Contributes to evaluation and recommendations for vendor products, manages and monitors policies and standards for the use of computing resources, and executes on programs and projects within a specific IT function.
• Administration of Server, Polarion, Infrastructure, Workflows, AWS and DevOps, Project Management
Required Knowledge and Experience: Requires a technical Baccalaureate degree and minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
Preferred Requirements: • Deep experience with Polarion or a comparable ALM platform, including basic scripting/customization
• Ability to set up, maintain, and support on-prem or AWS-hosted server environments
• Strong background building and supporting engineering systems infrastructure
• Proven vendor management and third-party implementation leadership
• Medtronic systems validation or other regulated validation experience
• Background in medical device, healthcare technology, or similarly regulated environments
• Knowledge of requirements management and testing workflows
• Experience with vendor selection, contract coordination, and implementation oversight
For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.
