Meet the team: Dexcom’s Global Medical Affairs is a rapidly expanding team, and we are seeking an experienced Medical Affairs professional to join our team and be part of Dexcom’s award-winning culture, recognized by Fortune's Best Workplaces in Health Care & Biopharma.
The Sr. Medical Affairs Manager will be a key contributor to Dexcom’s global scientific conference strategy, driving high‑impact medical and scientific engagement across priority international meetings. This role is responsible for end‑to‑end conference planning and execution, including cross‑functional collaboration with Clinical Affairs, HEOR, Behavioral Science, Data Science, Scientific Communications/Medical Writing, Clinical Education, Marketing, Market Access, and Integrated Evidence Planning.
This role will critically evaluate clinical, real‑world, and outcomes data to guide abstract development and scientific submissions, ensuring alignment with business priorities, evidence‑generation needs, and good publication practice.
The Sr. Medical Affairs Manager is an individual contributor role, with no direct reports, and will require a strong, independent, strategic thinker with global vision and understanding. The ideal candidate brings deep Medical Affairs expertise, strong medical communications and global scientific conference planning experience, and a solid understanding of the diabetes, diabetes technology and adjacent health conditions to help advance Dexcom’s global scientific leadership.
Where you come in: • You will be a key contributor to the end‑to‑end global scientific conference strategy to expand Dexcom’s scientific presence across priority international meetings. • You will facilitate strategic cross‑functional planning with Clinical Affairs, HEOR, Behavioral Science, Data Science, Scientific Communications/Medical Writing, Clinical Education, Marketing, Market Access and Integrated Evidence Planning, as well as regional leaders as appropriate. • You will be responsible for tactical execution of the scientific conference strategy, including timelines, deliverables, and cross‑functional alignment from concept through presentation. • You will lead and facilitate cross‑functional conference planning and data review meetings. • You will critically evaluate clinical, real‑world, and outcomes data to inform scientific conference submissions aligned with global business priorities and evidence needs, with a focus in emerging markets and new geographies such as APAC and LATAM. • Proactively plan for new product and feature post-market evidence needs to support product claims, both globally and regionally. • Provide strategic planning and direction for medical and scientific communications at regional and in-country conferences with upcoming studies, new publications, etc. • Measure impact of scientific conference initiatives.
What makes you successful: • Strong expertise in medical communications planning, including abstract development and the scientific abstract submission process. • Deep understanding of Medical Affairs roles, industry regulations, publication standards, and best practices globally and in-country nuances. • Demonstrated knowledge of diabetes and diabetes technologies, including CGM. • Ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders to ensure full alignment of roles and responsibilities, strategy, tactics, expectations, and timelines • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to translate complex evidence into clear, compelling scientific narratives for external scientific audiences. • Solid project management and organizational skills with the capacity to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously • Ability to assess current processes, identify barriers, and provide new, more efficient or effective direction for such processes to support business timelines and priorities. • Ability to provides insight to the development of Medical Affairs functional objectives in the sub-function of Medical and Scientific Communications to support the achievement of corporate goals.

Experience and Education Requirements: • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree with 13+
