The Difference You Make: The Sr. Director of Wealth Advisors leads the Investment Advisor organization within the Wealth business, with primary responsibility for investment advice, portfolio construction, advisory process discipline, and the day-to-day leadership of the advisor team. This role is accountable for setting the direction, standards, and operating rhythm of the advisor organization, ensuring the team delivers a high-quality client experience, disciplined investment guidance, and consistent execution across the platform. The role sits within the Wealth / Private Banking environment and is designed to support advisors who are primarily investment-focused in their client coverage. It requires a strong combination of investment acumen, people leadership, business judgment, and close partnership with banking, product, operations, compliance, and senior leadership teams.

Core Responsibilities Advisor Leadership • Lead, coach, and develop the Wealth Advisor team to drive strong client outcomes and consistent execution.

• Set clear expectations for advisor performance, professionalism, client service, and investment discipline.

• Provide day-to-day oversight, mentorship, and performance management for the advisor population.

• Build a culture of accountability, collaboration, and high standards across the advisor organization.

Investment Leadership • Oversee the investment activities of the advisor team, including portfolio positioning, model usage, investment recommendations, and client suitability alignment.

• Ensure advisors are aligned with the firm’s investment philosophy, approved solutions, and portfolio construction standards.

• Support the development and refinement of investment frameworks, advisory tools, and planning approaches used across the team.

• Partner with product and investment stakeholders to ensure advisors have access to appropriate solutions and guidance.

• Serve as a senior resource for complex investment discussions, client positioning, and advisory coordination.

Business and Operating Leadership • Establish the operating model for the advisor organization, including coverage, workflow, service standards, and escalation paths.

• Monitor key performance indicators related to advisor productivity, client engagement, asset retention, and investment adoption.

• Drive process improvements that improve advisor efficiency, consistency, and scalability.

• Support strategic planning for the advisor function as the Wealth business grows.

• Help shape the advisor proposition in a way that is aligned with the broader Wealth strategy.

Cross-Functional Partnership • Work closely with private banking leadership to ensure a coordinated client experience across the broader Wealth platform.

• Partner with compliance, legal, operations, supervision, and risk teams to ensure activities are appropriately governed.

• Collaborate with technology and data teams to improve advisor tools, reporting, and business intelligence.

• Serve as a senior point of contact for internal stakeholders on advisor-related investment matters.

• Coordinate with banking and client-facing partners to ensure the advisor function is integrated into the overall client relationship model.

Talent and Culture • Recruit, develop, and retain strong advisor talent.

• Assess individual and team capabilities and create development plans to strengthen the bench.

• Promote a client-first, investment-led, and high-integrity culture.

• Represent the advisor organization in senior leadership discussions and strategic initiatives.

• Build and maintain a strong leadership pipeline for future growth of the advisor function.

Key Qualifications • 15+ years of experience in wealth management, private banking, investment advisory, or a related investment leadership role.

• Proven experience leading advisors, investment professionals, or client-facing coverage teams.

• Strong understanding of portfolio construction, investment solutions, advisory processes, and high-net-worth client needs.

• Demonstrated ability to lead an advisor team in a regulated environment.

• Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence across business, banking, operations, and control functions.

• Excellent judgment, communication skills, and ability to work across multiple stakeholders.

• Deep understanding of the standards and controls expected in a FINRA-regulated business.

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or relevant professional designation preferred.

The ideal candidate is a senior wealth management leader who combines investment credibility with strong team leadership and operating discipline. They are able to lead a growing advisor organization, maintain high standards across the team, and help shape the broader wealth platform through thoughtful investment leadership and cross-functional partnership. The successful individual will be comfortable operating in a private banking environment, with a strong focus on investment advice, advisor development, and client experience rather than general relationship management.
