Sports Marketing Coordinator - Running

ABOUT THE ROLE: The Sports Marketing Coordinator – Running, supports the day-to-day execution of Skechers Running athlete partnerships, product fulfillment, events, and marketing initiatives. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Sports Marketing - Running, this highly organized and proactive individual manages product orders, inventory, shipments, event logistics, and cross-functional coordination.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Athlete Partnership Support • Support day-to-day athlete servicing, onboarding, product fulfillment, and communication. • Support athlete visits, race-week activities, product launches, content opportunities, and other athlete experiences. • Assist with research, administration, budget documentation, planning and processing.  

Product Fulfillment, Order Entry & Inventory • Enter and monitor footwear and apparel orders for athletes, campaigns, events, and internal needs. • Prepare, ship, and track domestic and international product shipments. • Maintain accurate inventory records, product allocations, and delivery confirmations. • Keep product storage areas organized and prepare product for seeding, events, launches, and other initiatives.  

Events & Marketing Coordination • Support the planning and execution of races, product launches, athlete appearances, run club activations, and community events. • Coordinate event materials, product, athlete schedules, shipments, and on-site logistics. • Support product trials and seeding initiatives for athletes, creators, and key running partners. • Partner with Marketing and Social teams on event promotion, content capture, asset organization, and post-event recaps.  

Project Management & Administrative Support • Maintain project trackers, timelines, athlete files, and shared organizational documents. • Monitor deadlines, communicate status updates, and proactively flag risks or delays. • Prepare presentations, briefing documents, product materials, and project recaps. • Coordinate with internal and external partners to keep deliverables on track and provide general administrative support.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING: • Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. • The right candidate has experience in sports marketing and/or athlete management with relevant marketing/athletics backgrounds. • Excellent organization and time management skills with the ability to prioritize/coordinate multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, high pressure, ever-changing environment.  Ability to adapt to a variety of situations. • Strong attention to detail and deadlines; great follow up skills. • Understands social media platforms such as Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, Facebook, and TikTok. • Professional image and behavior. • Strong team player. Ability to establish and maintain a positive work environment and work with a wide range of people (personalities, cultures). • Able to stand for long periods of time, bend, kneel, use step stool/ladder to reach overhead objects; light lifting/carrying; answer incoming calls. • Able to work nights, weekends, and holidays when necessary; light travel required. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. • Experience with Canva, project-management platforms, CRM systems, social media tools, or athlete-management tools is a plus.

REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. • 1-2 years professional work experience in an office environment or footwear retail experience. • Excellent knowledge and application of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) with the ability to learn additional/proprietary software/programs. • Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite. • Bachelor of Arts degree in business, communication, marketing, or related field preferable or equivalent experience. • Genuine interest in sports and fitness.

The pay range for this position is $72,000-$75,000/yr USD.
