Labcorp is seeking a Spe ci men Pro blem Resolution Spe ci alist to join our team in Houston, TX.
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday 8am- 5pm, with rotating Saturdays and holidays, Overtime as needed.
Job Responsibilities:
• Act a liaison between the lab, clients, and patients.
• Resolve internal & external cu st omer requests via calls, instant messenger & email communications
• Communicates with cu st omers in re spe ctful and professional manner.
• Work in multiple databases to research complex issues and questions.
• Provide cu st omer education and information as needed.
• Review test forms for ac cu racy and report any discrepancies.
• Prepare and triage spe ci men s for analysis.
• Ac cu rately identify and label spe ci men s.
• Pack and ship spe ci men s as necessary.
• Prepare and store excess spe ci men samples.
Minimum Qualification:
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• 1 year or more of experience in the healthcare industry, such as a physician's office, clinic or hospital
• 1 year or more of experience in cu st omer ser vi ce
Preferred Qualification:
• Cu rrent or prior Labcorp experience
• Associates degree

• Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal
• Familiarity with laboratory operations as well as policies and procedures
• Comfortable handling biological spe ci men s
• Ability to ac cu rately identify spe ci men s
• Experience working in a team environment
• Strong data entry and organizational skills
• High level of attention to detail
• Well-versed in applications like Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and willingness to learn new applications
• Ability to lift up to 40lbs.
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
All job offers will be based on a candidate ’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.
Benefits: Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan.
