About this role

Why Patients Need You  

Patient Solutions is an evolving and  highly important  area for the success of Pfizer Specialty Care. Due to the complexity of the  patient  journey in many Specialty Care therapeutic areas, up to 50% of specialty medications never get dispensed after an HCP writes the prescription. The role of Specialty Care Access and Reimbursement is to remove barriers to access through education and streamlined processes that accelerate fulfillment, helping  appropriate patients  get access to the medication their HCP has prescribed.   

What You Will Achieve  

The Specialty Care Access and Reimbursement Enablement Team Lead will work across a broad, multi-disciplinary group of internal and external stakeholders to develop, evolve, and lead projects and programs to advance the Access and Reimbursement groups' mission to help patients. They will develop a process of continuous improvement measured by clearly defined key performance indicators that serve as benchmarks for success across the platform. The Specialty Care Access and Reimbursement Enablement Team Lead will report directly to the Spe cialty Care Patient Solutions Strategy and Enablement Lead, with a dotted-line relationship to Access and Reimbursement leadership, and is responsible for leading and coaching the Specialty Care Access and Reimbursement Enablement Team.  

This leader brings a deep understanding of all Specialty Care Access and Reimbursement priorities, using that knowledge to compliantly drive team impact and efficiency. Key areas of focus include evolving and improving the effectiveness of the following: operational infrastructure, W ays of W orking, engagement framework, project management processes, access and reimbursement models, and analytics and reporting platforms. This role requires a professional who is adept at handling multiple responsibilities, including team leadership, presentations, data reporting, and cross-functional coordination. The successful candidate will provide insights from an enterprise echelon applied to a regional and territory level of execution.    

The Team Lead will partner with key cross-functional partners on AI strategy within Access and Reimbursement, which ladders up to an overall Patient Solutions AI strategy — identifying where AI can meaningfully improve the patient and customer experience, shaping the roadmap for AI-enabled tools and capabilities, and enabling the Specialty Care Access and Reimbursement Enablement Team to consistently pull through that AI strategy across territories and stakeholders.  

Role Responsibilities  

• Create a high performing organization through talent planning, career development and performance management.  

• Lead and be accountable for PX - related processes. To include, but not limited to consistency in interviewing and hiring practices, annual goal setting and year-end process (e.g., team performance and year end reviews), annual compensation process (i.e., m erit, and LTI), career progression , talent planning (e.g. talent assessments and growth plans), and diversity initiatives.  

• Work with c ross-functional p artners (Specialty Care Access and Reimbursement National Lead, Specialty Care Access and Reimbursement Regional Directors, Patient Engagement Enablement, Patient Services, Digital and others) to identify key themes and lead initiatives/projects needed to advance productivity, efficiency, and results.    

• Accelerate Access and Reimbursement Ways of Working with other CFC teams and within Patient Solutions — including the Patient Engagement team — to break down silos, streamline hand-offs, and create a more connected, patient-centric operating model.  

• Align, motivate, engage, coach and develop the Access and Reimbursement Enablement Team to fully support execution of the Access and Reimbursement strategies and tactics and to compliantly provide insights and assistance to the Specialty Care Access and Reimbursement Leadership Team.  

• Identify and prioritize the right continuous improvement projects, processes, and resources, working with key stakeholders to advance productivity and support the strategy and execution of operating plans and project budgets.  

• Develop partnerships and collaborate with key enablement colleagues in other functional areas and business units to ensure ongoing alignment, consistency, and efficiency across all Specialty Care Access and Reimbursement reporting and interfaces.  

• Partner cross-functionally to enable internal functions, while also partnering externally, as needed, to deliver insights and execute initiative(s) to evolve Specialty Care Access and Reimbursement approaches and results.  

• Manage Specialty Care Access Reimbursement in the following: business reviews, executive presentation support, priority lists, alerts , and measurement of strategic imperatives including improving time to fill, fulfillment and reauthorization erosion.   

• Own and continuously evolve optimal territory mapping and deployment methodology , regularly reassessing alignment, capacity, and coverage models to ensure the deployment approach remains fit for purpose as the business, brands, and patient needs evolve.  

• Develop and design engaging and informative presentations for internal and external stakeholders while collaborating with various departments, to ensure consistent content accuracy and visual appeal.  

• Champion a strong data, analytics, and reporting discipline by leading a team to build and maintain robust data, analytics, and reporting capabilities; personally model rigorous, insight-driven analysis; and coach and develop the team so they can independently generate and apply data-driven insights, working closely with IIS, Patient Insights, and other key stakeholders .
