Description
A thriving economy in space is needed to make life on Earth more vibrant, sustainable, and equitable. Space technology will enable global access to information, solutions to climate change, answers to global food security, products that transform healthcare, clean energy production, and more. Today, rocket launch options are slow, expensive, and unreliable. Stoke is building the world’s most efficient fully and rapidly reusable rocket designed to fly daily, radically increasing access to space and opening up the space economy to safeguard our precious home, Earth.
Boltline is our commercial software platform that not only helps Stoke safely and accurately build our reusable rocket, it also helps any advanced hardware manufacturing teams integrate, track, iterate, build, and test efficiently.
As Software Development Manager on the Integrations team, you'll lead the team building and maintaining integrations into the Boltline ecosystem. The role has three parts: people management , product ownership , and hands-on technical contribution . You'll act as the team's spokesperson, working closely with internal and external stakeholders and technical leads.
We're looking for someone who leads with servitude, drives quality through repeatable engineering practices, and operates with extreme ownership and clear communication. You must be ready to stay focused, move fast, self-direct, and learn on the fly.
Responsibilities
• M anage the backlog and active projects for the team
• C reate detailed product requirements and make priority decisions in concert with the strategy of the product team
• M anage your t eam’s s oftware d evelopment l ife c ycle
• M anage individual team members ’ career growth and development
• M anage headcount, interviewing and hiring for the team
• P erform code reviews
• C ollaborate with Product and Design to understand priority, focus and scope
• B uild, operate and maintain integrations to multiple external platforms
Qualifications
• 8 + years of professional software development
• S trong IC experience in delivering quality SaaS systems
• E xperience in driving product requirements and priority
• E xperience managing and leading strongly technical software developers
• E xperience with software integration practices and patterns
• E xcellent verbal/written communication
• P rior on-call /incident response participation
• P roven ownership of features from design through production
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with modern web development frameworks (ReactJS)
• E xperience w ith building reliable APIs
• E xperience with RDBMS
• F amiliarity with Next.js or similar meta-frameworks
• D evOps basics (Docker, Kubernetes/ECS, AWS)
• E xperience with Apollo (Client/Server), Hasura or similar
• H ands-on CI/CD experience (GitHub Actions, CircleCI , etc.)
• Interest in aerospace , mechanical engineering, and manufacturing workflows

Compensation
Target Levels:
• Level 4 Range: $192,885 - $289,380
• Level 5 Range: $231,525 - $347,235

Your actual level and base salary will be decided based on your specific experience and skill level. ITAR Requirements
To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
