Job Purpose The Director of US Site Engagement is responsible for designing and executing the US Site Engagement strategy aligned to GSK’s clinical development priorities, with a focus on accelerating study start ‑ up, enrollment, and site performance across Oncology, Respiratory, Vaccines, and other therapeutic areas. This role ensures high site performance, proactive engagement, and collaboration across the US while aligning overall clinical development goals. This role is also responsible for the oversight, management and leadership of the country level activities of the Site Engagement Lead (SEL).

Accountable to ensure successful delivery of clinical trials across all therapeutic areas in both pharma and vaccines the objective of reducing cycle timelines by establishing and sustaining external site relationships. This role requires a high level of knowledge, experience and operates independently in a highly complex, high volume, strategic market.

This position reports directly to the US Clinical Operations Head and collaborates with the US Leadership team in setting priorities and expectations for the SEL.

Key Responsibilities: • Accountable for a team of Site Engagement Leads (SEL), who set up innovative and efficient site partnerships, by providing coaching and mentoring, line and performance management, evaluating capabilities and competencies and identifying and coordinating implementation of personal development plans. • Develop and execute a US site engagement strategy to optimize clinical trial site performance • Translate site landscape intelligence, performance data, and external trends into actionable strategies that inform feasibility, study design, and portfolio planning • Participate as a member of the US GMASE LT, representing Site Engagement activities, and input into the US GMASE strategy  • Responsible for overseeing growth in site relationships and building GSK’s reputation as a “sponsor of choice” for clinical trial sites. • Provide strategic input for operational excellence, process efficiency and trial delivery both internally and externally. • Partner closely with Dev Ops, LOC, Study Start‑Up, Feasibility, Medical Affairs, Data, and Digital teams to align site strategies with operational execution • Co-ordinates and collaborates, as appropriate, with relevant country and/or central teams for • determining feasibility of conducting protocols with reference to patient populations, study • complexity, and relevant resource. • On an ongoing basis, effectively manage complex situations relating to change, ensure issues are addressed and that effective study team interaction takes place. • Collaborate, communicate and resolve key operational issues with matrix partners at the local, regional and global level. • Continuous development of knowledge in the areas of GCP, internal company guidelines, SOPs, new monitoring techniques and capabilities. • Responsible for recruitment and training of GSK permanent staff. • Leads a functionally diverse team, remotely. • Available and willing to travel as job requires.

Why You? Basic Qualifications: • University degree in Sciences (Medicine, Pharmacy, Biochemistry, Biology or related fields) or equivalent demonstrable professional experience in the area • At least 10 years of experience in clinical operations or similar positions in the pharmaceutical industry. • At least 5 years of leadership experience and experience working in matrix teams.

Preferred Qualifications: • Demonstrated ability to translate therapeutic area insights into differentiated site engagement and enrollment strategies. • Experience establishing, growing and/or maintaining a preferred site network. • Analytical skills and a results-oriented mindset, with a focus on operational efficiency and quality. • Solid knowledge of ICH-GCP, local regulations, and regulatory processes.

The US salary ranges take into account a number of factors including work location within the US market, the candidate’s skills, experience, education level and the market rate for the role. In addition, this position offers an annual bonus and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program which is dependent on the level of the role. Available benefits include health care and other insurance benefits (for employee and family), retirement benefits, paid holidays, vacation, and paid caregiver/parental and medical leave.
