The Opportunity: CACI is seeking a Technical Leader to join our SIGINT Systems Engineering team at Aberdeen Proving Ground. This role will involve providing advanced Research and Engineering support for both fixed ground and tactical SIGINT systems for the U.S. Army.

As the Technical Leader, you will head a team of skilled technicians and engineers responsible for designing, developing, and conducting experiments on innovative SIGINT systems. Your work will be crucial in enhancing the Army’s capabilities and understanding of Ground SIGINT technologies, ultimately aiding the Army Warfighter in achieving battlefield success.

You will also have the opportunity to mentor other engineers, helping them expand their knowledge in SIGINT and Electronic Warfare (EW) systems.

Responsibilities: • Develop, design, and build tactical, portable SIGINT detection systems (RF to processing)

•   Apply abstract and complex concepts to meet program objectives and advance the state-of-the-art technologies

• Conduct studies and feasibility analysis on new and novel theories and products related to new applications of existing technologies and products

• Develop prototype components

• Impact functional strategies by developing new solutions, processes, and standards

• Lead large, complex project initiatives of strategic importance to the organization

Qualifications: Required:  • Active TS/SCI with Poly

• Education: MS in Electrical Engineering

• 15+ years of experience with SIGINT system design

• Must have 5+ years with SIGINT Quick Reaction design and deployment

• Must have 5+ years of leading a highly agile, multi-disciplined technical team in all areas in a Quick Reaction endeavor (requirements. funding, design, deployment)

• Able to develop and integrate signal processing capabilities for the DOD/IC and execute design decisions that have a critical impact on SIGINT dataflow

• Possess the ability to solve complex problems in an efficient and unique manner.

• Experience with RF systems and antennas

• Complete independent research and apply knowledge to meet program objectives and advance the state of the art.

• Self-starter with good interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills

• Good technical communication skills: specifically, ability to write technical documentation and explain complex signal processing concepts succinctly to both peers and a broader less technical audience.

Desired: • Expertise in open-source and/or DOD software-defined radio frameworks such as XMidas, JICDand GNU Radio, et al.  

• Familiarity with DOD/IC signals development community and personnel. Experience with Army SIGINT and Army EW systems

• Ability to evaluate technical trade-offs

• Experience working with NSA and national capabilities

• Achieved a high level of experience and recognition by professional societies in his or her field.

• Experience using Matlab for rapid prototyping and visualization of processing strategy and results.

• 8750 Level 2 Certification

Pay Range : There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is: $82,700 - 173,900 USD
