Northrop Grumman is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer for our GCCS-J program.

GCCS-J is the DoD’s Joint Command and Control system of record, delivering a fused, real-time battlespace picture to commanders and warfighters. The modernization effort focuses on cloud-native architecture, microservices, enhanced data integration, improved user experience, and alignment with JADC2 objectives. 

Responsibilities: The Senior Systems Engineer leads data architecture, requirements development, and end-to-end systems engineering activities for the modernization of the Global Command and Control System–Joint (GCCS-J). This role serves as the technical authority for data ingestion, synchronization, analytics, and system design, ensuring new capabilities align with operational, architectural, and cybersecurity requirements. 

Basic Qualifications   • Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 8 years experience or a Masters degree in a STEM with 6 years experience

• 8+ years of systems engineering experience.  • Experience with data analytics and management tools. 

• Familiarity with data ingestion and synchronization methodologies. 

• Strong understanding of logical and physical data models. 

• Experience writing technical documentation, including requirements and acceptance criteria. 

• Proficiency in SQL and data query languages. 

• Experience leading tasks and meeting schedule commitments. 

• Strong communication and collaboration skills. 

• Active Secret clearance. 

Preferred Qualifications   • Experience with GCCS-J or Joint C2 systems. 

• Experience with cloud data platforms and big data technologies. 

• Strong experience with MBSE and modeling tools such as Cameo. 

• Knowledge of ETL processes and data warehousing. 

• Familiarity with data visualization tools. 

• Understanding of DoDAF models. 

• Experience with Agile/Scrum. 

• Experience with virtual machine environments. 

• Knowledge of DoD policies and procedures. 

• TS/SCI clearance. 

Primary Level Salary Range: $129,300.00 - $193,900.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
