A Day in the Life The Enterprise Leadership Development portfolio within Human Resources is responsible for building leadership capabilities that enable Medtronic’s business strategy, talent priorities, and future workforce needs. This team partners across businesses, functions, and geographies to translate leadership development priorities into scalable experiences, tools, and activation strategies that drive leadership effectiveness, organizational capability, and business outcomes. Current priorities include advancing AI-enabled leadership capabilities, accelerating adoption of emerging development solutions, and ensuring enterprise-wide capability activation is measurable, practical, and embedded in the way leaders work.
This role will be based onsite at Medtronic Operational Headquarters in Minneapolis, Minnesota or is open to other Medtronic office locations globally. The Senior Program Manager, Future of Learning is responsible for translating enterprise leadership development priorities into measurable capability activation strategies that drive adoption, application, and business impact. This role leads the planning, execution, governance, measurement, and continuous improvement of enterprise leadership capability initiatives, with an immediate focus on scaling AI-enabled leadership solutions and ensuring successful integration across the global organization. The position requires strong business acumen, stakeholder influence, program leadership, and the ability to connect capability development efforts to measurable organizational outcomes.
Primary Responsibilities • Lead the design, execution, and scaling of enterprise leadership capability initiatives, including AI-enabled leadership pilots and capability activation programs.
• Partner with business leaders, technology teams, and Human Resources stakeholders to align capability priorities with strategic business objectives and workforce needs.
• Develop and manage integrated program plans, milestones, governance processes, risk mitigation strategies, success metrics, and decision frameworks.
• Create scalable operating models, activation frameworks, and deployment playbooks that support consistent adoption across regions, functions, and employee populations.
• Establish measurement strategies, feedback loops, and reporting methodologies to evaluate adoption, capability growth, behavior change, and business impact.
• Build executive-ready reviews, presentations, and recommendations that communicate program performance, insights, risks, and strategic opportunities.
• Integrate capability activation approaches into enterprise talent processes, including development planning, readiness discussions, succession planning, and performance routines.
• Drive continuous improvement through stakeholder feedback, data analysis, emerging trends, and experimentation to enhance effectiveness and scalability.
Required Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of experience in leadership development, organizational effectiveness, talent management, change management, business consulting, strategy, Human Resources, or program management OR advanced degree and 5+ years of experience in leadership development, organizational effectiveness, talent management, change management, business consulting, strategy, Human Resources, or program management
• Experience leading complex enterprise initiatives with responsibility for program planning, execution, stakeholder alignment, governance, and measurement.
• Experience using data, metrics, and business insights to evaluate outcomes, drive adoption, and inform decision-making.
• Experience influencing cross-functional stakeholders and driving results without direct authority.
Preferred Qualifications • Advanced degree in Business Administration, Organizational Development, Human Resources, Leadership Development, Change Management, or a related discipline.
• Experience designing and implementing leadership development, capability-building, or organizational transformation initiatives at enterprise scale.
• Experience supporting AI-enabled learning, digital transformation, future of work, or technology-enabled capability programs.
• Experience developing executive communications, business reviews, dashboards, and leadership presentations for senior audiences.
• Experience establishing operating models, adoption strategies, and change management approaches across geographically dispersed organizations.
• Experience partnering with senior leaders and executive-level stakeholders in a global, matrixed organization.
For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.
