This benefits-eligible position is a one-year fixed-term role with a regular schedule of 30 hours per week (75% FTE). There is a possibility of an extension based on available funding and programmatic needs.

Purpose This Program Coordinator position will manage the daily operations of the Brumley Institute for Graduate Entrepreneurship's Small Business Impact Program, ensuring needs are met and implementing improvements. Responsibilities of this position include developing objectives, overseeing student programs and activities, and communicating with stakeholders to achieve program goals.

Responsibilities • Oversee daily program operations and implement new or revised goals to enhance performance and service delivery. Coordinate program activities, monitor progress, and implement process improvements to support efficient operations.

• Maintain records, prepare progress reports, and submit special reports to management as required. Track program data and outcomes while preparing reports to support program evaluation and decision-making

• Assist with the recruitment and admissions process. Support participant outreach, application review, and onboarding to ensure a successful admissions process.

• Train and supervise student support staff to ensure effective program execution. Provide training, guidance, and oversight to ensure quality work and successful project completion.

• Engage with participants, staff, and community partners to facilitate program objectives. Maintain regular communication with stakeholders and support workshops, events, and partnership activities.

Required Qualifications • Demonstrated success in a customer service environment and the ability to communicate effective relationship management.

• Effective communication skills and ability to work independently as well as collaborate in a team-oriented environment

• Proven ability to exercise high levels of discretion and judgement, providing practical solutions in the resolution of complex issues.

• Previous success managing multiple projects, assessing work priorities, and as well as regular ability in meeting deadlines.

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Outlook, and web-based programs.

• Demonstrated proficiency in organizing, analyzing and recording data.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent and five years of experience in program administration or coordination.

Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications • Master’s degree in Higher Education or related field and previous work in a higher education setting.

• Prior experience with event planning, coordinating short courses, seminars, and workshops.

• The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, highly collaborative, respond well to feedback, work well as part of a dynamic work environment, skilled at dealing with both internal and external customers, effective at prioritizing tasks and initiatives, and learn quickly.

• Experience working with graduate student populations.

• Familiarity and working knowledge of the University of Texas at Austin's policies, procedures and administrative systems.

Salary Range • $45,000 - $47,000 prorated based on a 30-hour workweek

Working Conditions • Works in standard office conditions, in a shared office environment with repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation.

• Some evening and weekend hours may be required during peak periods and special events.

• This is an Austin, TX-based position.
