Senior Product Manager, Audio/Video Solutions Description - Job Summary This role is open to Houston, TX and Palo Alto, California in addition to Austin, Texas.

Poly, a part of HP, is redefining how people connect and collaborate through industry‑leading voice, video, and collaboration devices. We are seeking a Sustaining Product Manager to own and evolve a portfolio of hardware and software products used by millions of enterprise and SMB customers worldwide. In this role, you will lead end‑to‑end product management for enterprise communication devices , combining hardware platforms, firmware/OS, software experiences, and cloud integrations . You will work cross‑functionally with engineering, UX, supply chain, quality, sales, marketing, and strategic partners to deliver products that meet customer needs, ecosystem requirements, and business goals. You will be critical to ensuring products already in market continue to meet customer expectations, quality standards, certification requirements, and business objectives throughout their lifecycle. You will act as the single point of product accountability , working cross‑functionally to manage quality, change impact, cost, compliance, and roadmap continuity. You will work with customer support teams, sales, and solutions architects to support customer escalations, but also to feed innovative ideas and improvements back into the product roadmaps. This is a hands‑on role for someone equally comfortable discussing hardware trade‑offs, software roadmaps, certification requirements, and customer value propositions .

Responsibilities Product Ownership & Lifecycle Management • Own assigned products from General Availability (GA) through End‑of‑Sale and End‑of‑Support • Serve as a prime source for sustaining changes, prioritization, and trade‑offs • Manage lifecycle transitions including updates, feature backports, refresh decisions, and retirements • Provide inward customer and channel feedback to the New Products team to complete the circle and prepare for the next generation of products. • Ensure customer satisfaction will be a key responsibility, and you will work closely with the technical sales team to ensure our major customers and partners are supported. • Support new product introductions to ensure that post launch activities such as transition and partner certifications are completed.

Sustaining Engineering & Quality • Partner with hardware, firmware, OS, and software teams to: • Prioritize and drive resolution of field issues, defects, and customer escalations • Balance bug fixes, enhancements, and risk mitigation

• Lead product perspective in root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective action planning • Ensure product quality meets enterprise, security, and reliability standards

Change & Impact Management • Evaluate and approve engineering change requests (ECRs) and sustaining updates • Assess downstream impact of changes on: • Customers and deployments • Certifications, compliance, and integrations • Cost, supply continuity, and manufacturing

• Drive clear decision‑making when trade‑offs are required between schedule, cost, quality, and risk

Cost, Supply & Business Health • Partner with the teams in finance, operations, and supply chain to: • Drive cost reductions and margin improvements • Manage component changes, shortages, and risk mitigation

• Maintain product profitability targets without compromising customer experience

Cross‑Functional Communication • Act as the central communication point for product health and sustaining priorities • Provide clear updates to leadership on risks, status, and recommended actions • Support customer‑facing teams (sales, support, services) with accurate product guidance

Education & Experience Recommended • Four-year or Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Mechanical/Industrial Engineering, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence. • Typically has 5-7 years of work experience, preferably in hardware product management, digital or software product development, or a related field.   Preferred Qualifications • Experience with enterprise communications, collaboration, or connected devices • Familiarity with voice, video, networking, or real‑time communications • Experience working with cloud‑connected products • Prior experience with certification programs or enterprise compliance requirements • MBA or advanced technical degree • Experience working with external partners or platform ecosystems • Advanced Certified Scrum Product Owner Certification, or any other related certifications. • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
