What is the Opportunity? The Senior Manager, US Cross Entity Product Risk Management serves as a central figure within RBC US Integrated Operational Risk office, responsible for enhancing and executing product risk management programs for cross entity products for RBC US business entities. This role ensures the following for new business initiatives: risk identification, reporting, condition tracking and closure, and post implementation monitoring. This position is responsible for maintaining a current product inventory of all products across RBC US and Capital Markets globally. Additionally, this role will be key in supporting the team lead in planning and executing complex initiatives across multiple stakeholder groups. This role requires expertise in product risk assessment, governance, and management coupled with an understanding of products and services across multiple business lines and regulatory expectations. This role is part of an interconnected team across business groups (Capital Markets, City National Bank, RBC Bank (Georgia), US Wealth Management) and works in coordination with business group first line of defense risk teams. This role is essential to help build and ensure that our product risk management program is consistently executed, compliant, and effective for all cross-entity products.

What will you do?

Operationalize integrated capabilities: • Assist in the design, then execute comprehensive product risk management and governance programs for RBC US, including management, maintenance, and oversight of product inventories

• Support team lead in planning and executing of complex initiatives with quality and at pace.

• Conduct product risk identification, assessment, and documentation in collaboration with business and functional stakeholders for new business initiatives

• Execute product risk management practices in alignment with regulatory requirements, and industry best practices

• Ensure accurate reporting on the portfolio of new business initiatives across RBC US

• Work collaboratively with product and project teams, and business units to consistently execute product risk assessment and monitoring processes

• Facilitate and lead cross entity working groups to support cross entity product management activities.

Advisory Support: • Serve as liaison between first, second, and third line functions, for in scope activities while fostering strong working relationships with stakeholders

• Represent the RBC US Product Risk Management team at internal meetings and risk governance activities as required

• Provide subject matter expert guidance on product risk identification, assessment practices, and regulatory expectations

What do you need to succeed? Must-have: • Experience executing independently on high performing teams to execute a portfolio of risk management activities within 1LOD, 2LOD, and/or product governance functions

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to execute complex initiatives with quality in a fast-moving environment

• In-depth knowledge of products and services across multiple business lines (capital markets, retail banking, wealth management)

• Experience with product risk assessment frameworks, regulatory expectations, and governance best practices across products

• Experience managing cross entity product inventories

• Advanced experience with how product risks are identified and how controls are identified designed, tested, and integrated into operational risk programs

• Proficient at independent problem solving and use of judgment when escalation is required

Nice-to-have • Proficient in engaging with and presenting to senior executives and risk committees

• Experience in product governance, product lifecycle management, and issues remediation

• In-depth knowledge of products and services across multiple business lines (capital markets, retail banking, wealth management)

• Advanced knowledge of product operations, complexities, and control vulnerabilities
