Sr. Manager, Network Initiatives (Remote/Hybrid) About The US Oncology Network The US Oncology Network (The Network) is one of the largest community oncology networks in the country, supporting more than 1,400 physicians across 600+ sites of care. Through collaboration, clinical excellence, and operational innovation, The Network enables community oncology practices to deliver exceptional patient care while benefiting from the scale, expertise, and resources of a national organization. As The Network continues to evolve, strategic initiatives increasingly require dedicated leadership, structure, and execution support across clinical, operational, and organizational priorities.
Role Summary The Sr. Manager, Network Initiatives serves as a key project management and execution leader supporting high-priority programs across The US Oncology Network. This role partners with Strategic Operations leadership, and cross-functional departments to plan, coordinate, and deliver strategic initiatives. The position provides dedicated project management support for enterprise programs including leadership development cohorts, provider engagement initiatives, transformation efforts, and other Network-sponsored projects. The role brings structure, visibility, and accountability to complex initiatives while helping leaders maintain focus on strategic outcomes. This is an individual contributor role with no direct reports, operating in a highly matrixed environment and supporting multiple initiatives simultaneously.
Core Responsibilities Strategic Initiative Management • Lead planning and execution support for high-priority Network initiatives and special projects. • Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, milestones, governance processes, and success measures. • Monitor progress, identify risks and dependencies, and drive issue resolution to keep initiatives on track. • Provide project management expertise and execution discipline across multiple concurrent programs.
Leadership Development & Cohort Programs • Support Network-sponsored leadership development programs, including Executive Director cohort initiatives and future leadership offerings. • Coordinate program plans, milestone tracking, meetings, communications, and participant engagement activities. • Ensure alignment among program sponsors, participants, and supporting teams. • Track outcomes and provide reporting on program effectiveness and progress.
Cross-Functional Collaboration • Partner with teams across Clinical Operations, Strategic Operations, Finance, Technology, Analytics, Marketing, and other Network functions. • Facilitate communication, decision-making, and follow-through across complex initiatives. • Support initiative sponsors by ensuring clear accountability and timely execution of project commitments.
Reporting & Continuous Improvement • Prepare executive-level presentations, status reports, dashboards, and leadership updates. • Translate complex project information into clear and actionable insights. • Identify opportunities to improve project planning, reporting, and execution through process standardization, automation, and AI-enabled productivity tools. • Promote consistent project management practices across Network-sponsored initiatives.
Additional Responsibilities • Support emerging Network priorities and strategic initiatives as assigned. • Contribute to the ongoing development of project management capabilities across The Network.
Required Skills & Capabilities • Demonstrated experience managing complex projects involving multiple stakeholder groups. • Strong project planning, organization, and execution skills. • Ability to influence and drive results in a matrixed environment without direct authority. • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills. • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities. • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail. • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and adapting to changing business needs. • Self-starter with a results-oriented mindset. • Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools such as Asana, Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, or similar platforms. • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Teams, and Copilot.
Qualifications • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. • 5+ years of experience in project management, business operations, consulting, healthcare administration, strategic initiatives, or related disciplines. • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives involving senior leadership stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills • Experience in healthcare services, oncology, clinical operations, or provider engagement programs. • Experience supporting physician, APP, or clinical leadership initiatives. • Experience managing enterprise projects, PMO functions, or organizational transformation efforts. • Familiarity with change management principles and implementation practices. • Experience leveraging AI-enabled productivity and project management tools. • PMP, CAPM, Lean, Six Sigma, or similar project management certification preferred.
Travel Requirements • Up to 15% travel.
Salary: 112,700.00 - 150,200.00 - 187,800.00 USD Annual with 15% MIP Target budget approx.~130K with 15% MIP P4
