Position Summary: The Senior Manager, Medical Affairs Training & Medical Information is responsible for supporting Medical Affairs learning and development initiatives while providing strategic and operational support for Medical Information activities. The position will focus on Medical Affairs learning and development initiatives, including onboarding, scientific education, competency development, certification programs, and ongoing training for Field Medical and Medical Affairs personnel. In parallel, this individual will support Medical Information operations through oversight of scientific content development, response document management, inquiry trend analysis, and collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure timely, accurate, balanced, and compliant dissemination of medical information. The successful candidate will partner closely with Medical Affairs, Medical Information, Clinical Development, Regulatory, Legal, Compliance, Market Access, and Commercial colleagues to develop innovative learning solutions, optimize scientific communication resources, and enhance organizational effectiveness across the Medical Affairs function. Responsibilities: Medical Affairs Training (Primary Focus) • Develop and maintain expert-level scientific knowledge of Travere’s therapeutic areas, marketed products, and pipeline assets. • Support/lead the design, implementation, and continuous refinement of Medical Affairs and Field Medical onboarding curricula. • Conduct learning needs assessments to identify knowledge, competency, and skill gaps across Medical Affairs functions. • Develop and deliver scientific, product, disease-state, compliance, and professional skills training programs for Medical Affairs personnel. • Partner with Therapeutic Area Leads, Medical Directors, and Field Medical leadership to align training strategies with organizational priorities and business needs. • Create and facilitate instructor-led training, workshops, virtual learning sessions, e-learning modules, simulations, and other innovative learning solutions. • Develop, refine, and update certification programs and competency assessments to ensure readiness and ongoing development of Medical Affairs personnel. • Support the planning and execution of Medical Affairs meetings, training workshops, and scientific education events. • Establish training effectiveness measures, analyze outcomes, and implement continuous improvement initiatives. • Maintain and optimize learning management systems (LMS) and training resource libraries. • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure training materials meet medical, legal, regulatory, and compliance requirements. • Identify and implement emerging learning technologies, adult learning methodologies, and digital/AI training solutions. • Develop key performance indicators and communicate the impact and value of learning initiatives to leadership. • Select, manage, and oversee external training vendors and learning partners.
Medical Information & Operations • Support day-to-day Medical Information operations and contribute to the execution of departmental strategies and objectives. • Provide scientific and technical support for approved and investigational products across the Travere portfolio. • Oversee the development, review, maintenance, and lifecycle management of standard response documents, FAQs, and other Medical Information resources. • Partner with Medical Information colleagues to ensure responses to unsolicited requests are timely, accurate, balanced, and compliant. • Analyze Medical Information metrics, inquiry trends, and data gaps to identify opportunities for enhanced training, content development, and process improvements. • Collaborate with Medical Affairs, MSLs, Market Access, and Commercial teams to support launch readiness and ongoing product support. • Support management of Medical Information systems, content management platforms, and digital communication channels. • Assist in the development of innovative approaches for scientific information dissemination and customer engagement (AI/web-based initiatives). • Contribute to Medical Review Committee (MRC) activities and review of medical and promotional materials, as appropriate. • Support training and mentoring of Medical Information personnel, contractors, and cross-functional stakeholders on scientific content and processes. • Additional duties assigned as needed.
Education/Experience Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in life sciences or related field required. Advanced scientific or clinical degree (MD, DO, PharmD, PhD, PA, NP, RN, or equivalent) preferred. Equivalent combination of education and applicable job experience may be considered. • 7 years of pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or related industry experience within Medical Affairs required
