About this role

We are seeking a Senior Manager, Logistics – Last Mile Delivery to join Lineage Food Services, based on site in Conklin, NY .

This is a strategic and highly collaborative leadership role that requires flexibility to travel to our eight Lineage Last Mile locations: Conklin (2), Boston, Oakwood Village, Farmingdale, Terrell, Hanover Park, and Attalla.

Last Mile experience is key for this role, along with a strong background in distribution and transportation. The ideal candidate will understand customer needs, support General Managers across multiple locations, and drive both short- and long-term operational goals. This individual should be highly tactical, solutions-oriented, and comfortable working across multiple facilities and teams.

Key responsibilities will include planning and executing operational rollouts, supporting transportation initiatives, developing consistent processes, and helping establish and communicate a clear vision for the Last Mile organization. The successful candidate will serve as a strategic partner to site leadership while helping drive operational excellence and long-term growth.

Provide strategic direction and manage the development of process improvement for the logistics function. Develop and lead the team responsible for the movement and coordination of product in and out of the facility.

What You’ll Do:

As the Senior Logistics Manager – Last Mile Delivery , you will provide strategic direction and operational leadership for the logistics function while developing and executing process improvements that strengthen service, efficiency, and overall performance. You will lead a team responsible for the movement and coordination of products in and out of the facility, ensuring seamless communication and execution across internal teams, customers, carriers, and other key partners.

Key responsibilities include: • Lead, coach, develop, and inspire a high-performing logistics team by setting clear expectations, assigning responsibilities, providing ongoing feedback, and driving accountability for results. • Oversee daily logistics operations, ensuring the timely and accurate processing of orders, verification of outbound appointments, and effective management of systems and workflows. • Identify and remove operational barriers that impact productivity, service, or execution. • Optimize inbound and outbound scheduling processes by balancing customer requirements, shipment volumes, facility capacity, physical constraints, and historical trends. • Partner cross-functionally with warehouse operations and other internal stakeholders to improve product flow and overall supply chain performance. • Monitor carrier appointment performance, including late arrivals, no-shows, detention risks, and outbound turn times, and take proactive action to minimize disruptions. • Manage and strengthen relationships with transportation partners and carriers, including oversight of carrier agreements and performance expectations. • Establish, monitor, and improve key logistics performance metrics to identify trends and address opportunities, and drive continuous improvement. • Lead process improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, reduce costs, improve service levels, and support scalable growth. • Utilize data and operational insights to make informed decisions and provide strategic recommendations to site and business leadership. • Champion a culture of safety, accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.

What You Bring • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Logistics, Transportation, Business, or a related field preferred. • 7+ years of progressive experience in logistics, transportation, shipping, supply chain, or a related operational environment. • Previous leadership experience managing, coaching, and developing teams. • Strong understanding of transportation operations, inbound and outbound scheduling, carrier management, and logistics processes. • Knowledge of import/export processes and procedures. • Experience working with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and other logistics or transportation systems. • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to translate data into actionable solutions. • Demonstrated success identifying process gaps and implementing improvements that drive measurable operational results. • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to effectively partner with associates, leadership, customers, carriers, and other external stakeholders. • Exceptional organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and comfort leveraging technology and data to improve performance.

Pay Range:$114,200.00 - $205,500.00
