The Senior Manager, Global Medical Affairs & Medical Education, is responsible for developing and executing global medical affairs and medical education strategies that translate clinical and real world evidence into clear, credible, and compliant education and messaging. This role will establish, build, and scale the Medical Affairs and Medical Education capability within the Cardiovascular organization, creating the team structure, processes, governance, and programs necessary to support the business’s evolving clinical, scientific, and commercial objectives. This role supports global brand and portfolio priorities by shaping evidence dissemination, strengthening clinical understanding, and enabling high quality medical education programs aligned with business objectives.

This position is a strategic, program focused role with direct people management responsibilities, leading the global education function and potentially additional medical education and scientific roles. As the leader of a newly established function, this individual will define operating models, establish cross-functional partnerships, develop foundational capabilities, and create a scalable roadmap for future growth. The role serves as a bridge between evidence generation and commercial execution, ensuring data are effectively interpreted, communicated, and applied through medical education and marketing aligned initiatives while building and developing a high-performing team. Primary Duties & Responsibilities: Evidence Strategy & Translation (Marketing‑Aligned) • Translate published and internal clinical, outcomes, and real‑world evidence into clear, accurate, and audience‑appropriate medical education and marketing support materials. • Partner with Global Marketing to ensure evidence is reflected consistently across positioning, value narratives, and scientific messaging within approved claims and intended use. • Develop and maintain global evidence toolkits, including study summaries, evidence briefs, data visualizations, and clinical Q&A resources.

Medical Education Strategy & Program Execution • Lead the development and execution of global medical education plans, aligned with brand strategy and portfolio priorities, while establishing the foundational processes, governance, and infrastructure required for a world-class medical education function. • Design HQ‑driven education frameworks for congresses, symposia, advisory boards, digital education, and internal learning programs.  Identify unmet educational needs and knowledge gaps and translate them into structured, compliant education initiatives.

Function Development & Capability Building • Establish and lead a new global Medical Affairs and Medical Education function, including strategy, priorities, governance, processes, and operating model. • Assess organizational needs and develop short- and long-term capability roadmaps to support evidence dissemination, medical education, KOL engagement, and scientific communication. • Create scalable systems, tools, metrics, and best practices that enable consistency and excellence across global and regional teams. • Develop and implement frameworks for measuring the impact and effectiveness of medical education and medical affairs initiatives. • Identify resource requirements and organizational capabilities needed to support future portfolio expansion and evidence-generation priorities.

Publications & Evidence Dissemination • Partner with Clinical, Regulatory, and Marketing teams to support publication planning and dissemination readiness for new and existing evidence. • Ensure new data are appropriately incorporated into education programs and commercial enablement materials following internal review and approval processes. • Support congress strategy by defining key scientific themes, evidence narratives, and education priorities.

KOL Strategy & Clinical Insight Generation • Support global KOL engagement strategy focused on education, insight generation, and advisory input (not routine field engagement). • Help shape advisory board objectives, agendas, and outputs; synthesize insights into actionable recommendations for marketing and portfolio strategy. • Monitor external clinical trends, guidelines, and emerging evidence to inform education priorities and future evidence needs.

Cross‑Functional Partnership & Governance • Work closely with Clinical, Regulatory, Legal, Market Access, and Marketing teams to ensure medical education and scientific communications are accurate, compliant, and aligned with global standards. • Provide scientific and clinical input during content review processes for education and marketing materials. • Ensure all activities adhere to company policies, applicable regulations, and industry codes governing interactions with healthcare professionals.

People Management & Team Leadership • Directly manage and develop medical affairs and/or medical education team members as the function evolves, including recruiting, onboarding, and developing future team capabilities • Set clear objectives, priorities, and development plans aligned with global medical affairs and education strategy. • Coach, mentor, and provide ongoing feedback to team members to build capability in clinical education, evidence translation, and scientific communication. • Oversee resource allocation, workload prioritization, and project execution across the medical education team. • Build and scale the global medical education function to support portfolio growth and increasing evidence complexity. • Foster strong collaboration and alignment across Marketing, Clinical, and other global/regional cross-functional teams
