This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.

As part of a hardworking team of supply chain professionals, technicians, and engineers, you will play a crucial role in developing and executing regional sourcing strategies for our international supplier portfolio. The International Supplier Manager (ISM) owns strategy and execution for a commodity-agnostic portfolio of suppliers within an assigned international geographic region, driving supplier development, business case formulation, and stakeholder alignment to ensure conforming hardware is delivered on-time, every time in support of Blue Origin's production needs. This role also defines and builds tools and processes that streamline the procurement process for international – including understanding and knowledge of export controls, developing/communicating holistic regional/commodity strategies (for the Luxembourg team to execute on) and International Team Customer Interface with US based team(s).

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Regional Strategy & Roadmap Ownership • Own the development, communication, and continuous refinement of regional and commodity strategies and roadmaps for an assigned international region • Formulate and present business cases for new supplier development, dual-sourcing, and regional capacity expansion • Identify, evaluate, and qualify new international suppliers based on quality, capacity, reliability, and cost
Supplier Relationship & Performance Management • Serve as a key stakeholder in supplier relationship management throughout the supplier lifecycle, including post-qualification when active management responsibilities transfer to the assigned Buyer • Continuously assess and incorporate supplier performance data (quality, delivery, cost) to inform updates to supplier and regional strategies • Build and nurture cross-cultural business relationships that respect regional practices and communication norms
Process, Tools & Compliance • Define and build tools, processes, and playbooks that streamline international procurement activities • Maintain and apply working knowledge of export control regulations (ITAR/EAR) and international trade compliance requirements • Ensure adherence to international trade regulations, customs requirements, and country-specific sourcing considerations • Identify and mitigate risks unique to international procurement, including geopolitical, logistics, and trade-related disruptions
Cross-Functional & Stakeholder Interface • Serve as the primary interface between US-based Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, and Program teams and international regional teams/suppliers • Partner with Buyers, Commodity Managers, Quality, and Engineering to align international sourcing activities with program requirements • Facilitate clear, consistent communication between international suppliers and internal stakeholders across time zones and cultures • Serve as subject matter expert on assigned regional sourcing strategies and supply markets
Minimum Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Engineering, International Business, or related field • 7+ years of experience in supplier management, strategic sourcing, or procurement, with direct experience managing international/non-US suppliers • Working knowledge of export control regulations (ITAR/EAR), customs, and international trade compliance • Demonstrated experience developing and executing regional or commodity sourcing strategies • Experience formulating and presenting business cases to leadership and cross-functional stakeholders • Willingness to travel internationally (20–25%) • Demonstrated ability to work effectively across cultures and time zones • Proficiency with procurement/ERP systems and data analysis/reporting tools
Preferred Qualifications: • Experience in aerospace, defense, or other high-reliability manufacturing environments • Prior experience as an Engineer, Buyer, or Technician supporting hardware qualification/production ramp • Experience with ISO 9001, AS9100, or other aerospace quality management systems • Proficiency in a second language relevant to key international supplier regions • Experience with export control classification and compliance documentation
Base Pay Range for: WA applicants is $124,476.00 - $174,265.35 Other site ranges may differ
