The Opportunity: Take your expertise and lead mission-critical network design and implementation across U.S. Space Force bases CONUS and OCONUS. As a Senior Field Technician - Electrician, you’ll drive site surveys, develop secure architectures, and implement advanced routing solutions to meet demanding connectivity and security SLAs. You’ll collaborate with base communications and cybersecurity teams to configure and cut over new deployments, ensure STIG compliance, and support O&M teams post-installation. This is a high-impact role for seasoned engineers committed to resilient network performance in complex operational environments.

Responsibilities: Senior position with multi-disciplined electrical experience across wired, wireless, and mobile broadband solutions. Understands requirements, creates designs and network topology artifacts to meet or exceed connectivity, availability, reliability security SLAs. Leads the development of designs, plans and policies, and implementations of data networks based on the customers’ performance criteria and specifications. Leads site surveys and network assessments to determine the best hardware and software components for network upgrades to ensure networks are reliable, efficient, and secure. Leads preliminary and final SSR and SPRIP development. Ensures installations are performed within safety standards and work site conditions (cleanliness), including restoration of the site to original or better condition. Provides Post-Deployment Over-the-Shoulder-Training to the O&M team to ensure smooth transition of the networks systems. Designs and implements routing policies and load balancing solutions for the customers using BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP routing protocols. Creates cyber artifacts such as topology/data flow diagrams, hardware/software lists, STIG checklists, ports/protocols/services, and POA&Ms. Designs and implements secure networks, systems, and application architectures. Implements and supports network management such as SNMP, SYSLOG, and orchestration. Creates LOM to capture all major components and installation materials to ensure successful deployment of systems. Prepares or contributes to deliverables and performance metrics where applicable. Ensures network solutions are in compliance with all pertinent DAF policies and established compliant IT system integrations. Coordinates with local Communication Squadron and/or regional cybersecurity teams to configure, turn up, and cutover new deployments. Assists the O&M team in troubleshooting network-related issues post-deployment of the new systems. Resolves technical issues with networks, hardware, and software. Possesses and applies expertise on multiple complex work assignments.

Qualifications:

Required:  J ourneyman Electrician current and in good standing; Experience: 10 years electrician trade

Desired: Specific Skills: Proficient with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio), AutoCAD; demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with their team and customers. Certification(s): CCNP or equivalent; CompTIA Security+ Clearance: Secret Eligible

Pay Range : There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is: $73,800-$155,100
