ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Senior Event Marketing Manager will be a key driver in scaling our event marketing programs. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in high pressure and executing on high volume third party/sponsored events. You will be responsible for end to end event management, ensuring measurable results, and strong cross functional partnerships.Key to success is your ability to quickly establish event processes. It is essential that you are knowledgeable and engaged with Assort's mission and products to ensure our execution drives the desired business outcomes.
This role reports to the Senior Director of Events and Field Marketing.
LOCATION: SAN FRANCISCO OR NEW YORK CITY
Global Events and Tradeshows
- Lead end-to-end execution for sponsored/3rd party events, alongside field marketing in regions
- Own booth strategy, messaging, staffing, demos and brand environment
- Coordinate across design, product marketing, field and SDR teams
- Define booth aesthetics, activations, swag, and messaging by event type and scale
- Ensure teams can execute consistently
- Conduct competitive intelligence at industry events by evaluating competitor booths, messaging, activations, and event presence to identify opportunities for future booth design, positioning, attendee engagement, and overall event strategy.
Brand & Creative Standards and Systems
- Define and manage event brand standards
- Oversee swag strategy, vendor relationships, and production timelines
- Partner with Design to evolve booth and onsite presence
- Collaborate with Brand and Content to ensure consistent messaging, collateral quality, and visual identity across all event touchpoints.
Speaker Activation
- Align speaker opportunities to event strategy and messaging priorities
- Work with content and product marketing teams to align on messaging
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Serve as the central coordination point for third-party events across sales, sales engineering, partnerships, product marketing, content, and design
- Partner closely with Sales and SDR teams and Field Marketing to design pre-event outreach campaigns that drive booth traffic and meeting bookings.
- Along with the Director of Events, build event calendars, reporting frameworks, and pre, onsite and post event measurement practices
- Identify and curate promotional sponsorship opportunities to elevate brand
Budget and Reporting
- Build event reports: meetings held, pipeline sourced, cost per opportunity, etc.
- Collaborate with Field Marketing to ensure leads are captured, enriched, and routed promptly into pipeline.
- Manage budgets across all events
- Negotiate contracts with venues, AV vendors, swag suppliers, and sponsorship packages.
What You Will Bring
- 6+ years in event management
- Experience owning major tradeshow presence: booth strategy, build, logistics, and activation
- Track record running multiple tradeshows at one time but still thinking of future programs
- Demonstrated ability to build scalable systems and toolkits, not just execute individual events
- Experience working directly with Sales to design event programs that convert to pipeline.
- Strong vendor and agency management skills
- Prefer proficiency using AI tools for planning, content development, and operational efficiency
- Sharp communicator comfortable with senior stakeholders and cross functional partners
- Comfortable with event analytics and CRM reporting (Salesforce or HubSpot).
- Willing to travel up to 30% of the time for onsite event management.
Nice to have
- Existing relationships within health system or medical society conference ecosystems.
- Experience with AI or voice technology companies.
- Familiarity with healthcare conference rhythms, eg: HIMSS, ViVE, specialty society annual meetings.
