Cisco owns the world’s largest AI infrastructure footprint. The Americas Sales Strategy & Transformation team exists to bring the two together: combining Splunk’s platform, Cisco AI Defense, and Cisco’s ML toolkit into a single AI governance story that neither company can tell alone today. We’re the primary strategic partner to the Americas General Manager, translating that thesis into the scalable, repeatable sales engine, selling outcomes to solve our customers critical business problems. As Senior Director of Sales Strategy & Transformation - Splunk, you’ll sit at the center of that work partnering directly with the Americas GM to define how Splunk drives revenue in the AI era.

Your Impact • Strategic Growth Planning: Develop and operationalize annual and long-range growth plans while mentoring the team that executes them.

• Outcome-Based Selling: Lead our continued evolution toward outcome-based selling models, partnering with customers to align pricing and value delivery with measurable business impact.

• Own AI Governance: Architect the combined Splunk platform and Cisco AI portfolio narrative into a differentiated GTM motion that becomes the company’s answer to AI governance.

• Data-Driven Advisory: Act as the "in-house" authority for the Americas SP&O organization by using advanced analytics (AI, Tableau, etc.) to synthesize complex data into actionable GTM recommendations for executive leadership.

• Cross-Functional Orchestration: Partner with Sales, Product, Marketing, and Operations to ensure alignment and successful execution of strategic initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications • 12+ years of experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, or sales leadership, including at least 3 years of direct people management.

• Experience at a SaaS based organization with a deep understanding of ARR models.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.

• Proven experience leading, coaching, and developing high-performing strategy or sales teams.

• Demonstrated success in managing multi-million dollar coverage models and territory governance.

• Extensive experience presenting complex strategic recommendations to C-level or VP-level executives.

Preferred Qualifications • MBA or equivalent advanced degree.

• Corporate strategy experience at a Fortune 500 company.

• Experience in strategy for outcome-based solutions.

• Deep expertise in GTM strategy, including pricing, packaging, and channel/partner ecosystem alignment.

• Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize a portfolio of critical initiatives spanning 6–12 months within a global, matrixed organization.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights.

• Outstanding ability to influence and engage C-suite and VP-level stakeholders to drive alignment within a sophisticated, matrixed global organization.

The starting salary range posted for this position is $286,200.00 to $364,400.00 and reflects the projected salary range for new hires in this position in U.S. and/or Canada locations, not including incentive compensation*, equity, or benefits. Individual pay is determined by the candidate's hiring location, market conditions, job-related skillset, experience, qualifications, education, certifications, and/or training. The full salary range for certain locations is listed below. For locations not listed below, the recruiter can share more details about compensation for the role in your location during the hiring process.

U.S. employees are offered benefits, subject to Cisco’s plan eligibility rules, which include medical, dental and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with a Cisco matching contribution, paid parental leave, short and long-term disability coverage, and basic life insurance. Please see the Cisco careers site to discover more benefits and perks.  Employees may be eligible to receive grants of Cisco restricted stock units, which vest following continued employment with Cisco for defined periods of time.

U.S. employees are eligible for paid time away as described below, subject to Cisco’s policies: • 10 paid holidays per full calendar year, plus 1 floating holiday for non-exempt employees

• 1 paid day off for employee’s birthday, paid year-end holiday shutdown, and 4 paid days off for personal wellness determined by Cisco

• Non-exempt employees** receive 16 days of paid vacation time per full calendar year, accrued at rate of 4.92 hours per pay period for full-time employees

• Exempt employees participate in Cisco’s flexible vacation time off program, which has no defined limit on how much vacation time eligible employees may use (subject to availability and some busine
