The Sr. Director, Delivery Leader for Solution Consulting (Sol Con) is a pivotal senior leadership position within Salesforce Professional Services. This leader is responsible for driving delivery excellence, AI modernization, and talent development across a high-performing organization of solution consultants, architects, and technical specialists serving our most complex enterprise clients. We are looking for a leader of leaders — someone who thrives at the intersection of people, technology, and delivery. You will be responsible for the professional growth and operational performance of the Sol Con practice, embedding AI-driven ways of working into every layer of how the team researches, designs, and delivers solutions. You will set the standard for what world-class solution consulting looks like.

• Build the Bench: Identify and develop the next generation of Sol Con leaders through structured mentorship, coaching frameworks, and defined career progression pathways.

• Champion Change: Guide the organization through the evolution to AI-augmented consulting — managing the change thoughtfully to modernize legacy workflows without disrupting active delivery commitments.

• Standardize Excellence: Eliminate "pockets of excellence" by creating unified delivery standards across all Sol Con practitioners, ensuring every client receives a consistently elite experience regardless of which consultant is assigned.

AI Strategy & Modernization • Redefine the Modern Consultant: Lead the integration of Agentic AI, Generative AI, and automated solution tools into the daily work of Sol Con practitioners.

• Scale AI Adoption: Partner with Global Delivery to drive internal adoption of Salesforce AI tools (including Agentforce, Data Cloud, Einstein, and prompt engineering frameworks) to accelerate solution design and delivery.

• Enablement & Upskilling: Develop and execute an AI literacy roadmap for the Sol Con team — from foundational AI fluency to advanced prompt engineering and agentic workflow design.

• Innovation Pipeline: Establish a Sol Con AI Innovation Lab mindset — identifying use cases where AI can reduce manual overhead, improve solution quality, and create measurable client value.

Delivery Excellence • Gold Standard Delivery: Establish and enforce a "Gold Standard" for Sol Con delivery quality — covering solution design rigor, demo excellence, technical depth, and client-facing communication.

• Portfolio Health: Own the health of the Sol Con delivery portfolio, including utilization, CSAT, escalation management, and quality metrics.

• Scalable Delivery Models: Design scalable staffing and delivery models that support both high-velocity and complex, long-cycle engagements across the Sol Con practice.

• Risk Management: Proactively identify and mitigate delivery risks across active engagements, serving as an executive escalation point for at-risk deals and programs.

Strategic Influence & Cross-Functional Alignment • Trusted Partner: Collaborate closely with Sales, Presales, Product, and Global Delivery leaders to align Sol Con capabilities with client needs and the long-term Salesforce platform roadmap.

• Executive Presence: Represent Sol Con at the executive level — internally and with clients — articulating the value of the practice with credibility and confidence.

• Capacity Planning: Partner with Workforce Management and Practice leadership to ensure Sol Con resource capacity is aligned with pipeline demand.

• Thought Leadership: Contribute to Sol Con's external reputation through participation in industry events, Salesforce World Tour, and customer advisory engagements.

Requirements & Experience • 12+ years of professional experience, with at least 8 years in a significant leadership role managing large technical or consulting organizations.

• Proven Executive Presence: Ability to command a room, influence C-suite stakeholders, and inspire a large, distributed workforce through periods of technological change.

• Sol Con / Presales Expertise: Deep experience leading solution consulting, presales, or technical advisory organizations — understanding the nuances of the consultative sales and delivery motion.

• AI Visionary: Clear, working knowledge of how AI tools and concepts — including Data Cloud, Prompt Engineering, Agentic AI, and Generative AI — can be applied to both internal productivity and client-facing value creation.

• Delivery Acumen: Strong track record of driving delivery consistency, CSAT improvement, and operational excellence at scale.
